This is my last mock of this offseason. This is what I'm hoping happens pick by pick. Tried to keep it realistic and follow the trades that have already happened. also not doing any trade downs.
1.) Jalen Ramsey CB/S, FSU- No chance at Wentz or Goff so lets take the best defensive player with no off field problems. I keep seeing posters on here saying no chance he makes it past the Chargers but i feel their is a pretty good chance he makes it to 4. I see us starting him at Corner and moving him to Safety if he struggles at corner.
2.) Noah Spence DE, Eastern Kentucky- Ill just say Spence has probably been wiped off some of the teams boards but he is still on ours. a top 15 talent and probably the best edge rusher in the draft. We need a full time starter at RE and even if Gregory straitens up, he just isn't big enough to be a full time 4-3 DE.
3.) Jordan Howard RB, Indiana- Big, strong, and hard to bring down. Sounds just like what we need running between the tackles in our offense. Can be another Demarco Murry. Not the same pass catcher as Murry but he can pick up the tough yards and he can pick up the blitz. becomes full time starter in his 2nd year unless McFadden and Morris just outright fall off a cliff.
4.) Sheldon Day DT, Notre Dame- It was reported that Hot Rod loved coaching him and i can see him being one of our main DT targets in the mid rounds. comes in on obvious passing situations for Ced Thornton.
4C.) Malcolm Mitchell WR, Georgia- To me the most underrated wide out in the draft. Good athlete, good hands, long arms, big hands, and the straight line speed to be a potential deep threat. his injury history & lack of production is most likely why he will fall to this pick. takes over as our #2 wide out in his 2nd season.
6.) Brandon Allen QB, Arkansas- Probably just a solid career backup but he has enough tools and has shown continued development. May develop into a starting game manager with our offensive line and hopefully improved offensive weapons when Romo calls it quits.
6C.) Kavon Frazier SS, Central Michigan- A faster & more athletic Barry Church with better coverage skills. Can be a future starter at SS if Ramsey sticks at Corner.
6C.) Stephen Weatherly DE, Vanderbilt- Developmental player at Defensive end. has already started to add bulk to make a full time move to defensive end. May even be able to play some SAM linebacker.
6C.) Darrell Greene OG/C, San Diego State- A good interior offensive lineman who has fallen down draft boards due to failed drug test and suspension in college. may be a late round steal, may be another moron who lets drugs ruin his career, may be this years Frank Clark who goes way earlier then expected.
