As the name implies, this mock features a lot of players that I think "THE MASTER" - if he is still here next year - can turn into one of the biggest, BADDEST Dlines in the NFL. Of course, I will NOT forsake the offense, but, the D is in drastic need of improvements. This draft is also contingent on certain Jr.'s declaring and, unfortunately, the team losing a particular stud defender due to a lack of funds. Without further ado, here we go:

Round 1: Stephon Tuitt, DE/DT - Notre Dame I think he would be a great young REPLACEMENT for Hatch, who, I think we all know, probably won't be back. He's gonna command some good $$$ this offseason. There's not much this kid can't do. Would be great at the 3T - just like Hatch has been this year.

Round 2: Anthony Steen, G - 'Bama The duo of Yankey & Richardson probably won't drop to Round 2 and I couldn't justify picking either of them over Tuitt in Round 1. The unsung member of one of the best college Olines in decades. Could be the L or RG for the next 10 years next Frederick.

Round 3: Antone Exum, CB/S - Va. Tech Ultra talented kid less than a year removed from, you guessed it, and ACL injury. Was A BEAST his Jr. season as helined up at both the CB and FS positions. Had 48 tackles, 16 PBU's, and 5 picks in '12.

Round 4: Daniel McCullers, DT - Tennessee Here's Marinelli's next (literally) BIG project. We've all been talking lately about some of the flaws of the D. I for one am of the belief that the scheme would work even better with a REAL, POCKET-PUSHING, TED WASHINGTON-CLONE DT at the 1T. Look at how great Minnesota's Dline was with the William's Wall or how effective Cincy's Dline is with 325+ Domata Peko pushing the middle and freeing up Atkins, Johnson, and Dunlap to just attack the backfield on every play. Two good, young 6'6" dudes in the middle would be a LOT for any interioir Oline to handle.

Round 5: Carlos Hyde, RB - Ohio St. Big brusier with good speed to pair with Murray and Dunbar. And, MOST IMPORTANTLY, would a) allow Dallas to use Murray in away that could probably save him from so many injuries and b) be a starting-caliber back WHEN Murray gets hurt. Drops this far because RB's are dropping nowadays and he had an off-the-field incident in which he was cleared.

Only did 5 Rounds since I have no clue what picks we have after that. SKEWER AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

When did we trade someone in your mock? Did I miss something?
&
Sorry but McCullers is not arod's type of guy man. He liked light & quick. Not big and powerful, it's just not his style.

The 6-7 Rounds are confusing to me right now becuase of whatever silly trades we made for Edgar Jones and Rayford AND the trade we made with Chicago sending Rasario there.

As for McCullers, I KNOW he's not the norm for Rod. I'm thinking outside of the box for once.

Alright, how 'bout this then:

Round 1: David Yankey, G - Stanford I think he's even better than DeCastro.
Round 2: Aaron Donald, DT - Pitt OR Will Sutton, DT - ASU Your CLASSIC Geno Atkins-esque 3T. Whichever one is there, GET HIM!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Round 3: Jackson Jeffcoat, DE - Texas He becomes Marinelli's big project. If he get's him to play to his unlimited potential, then we have Ware's replacement.
Round 4: Antone Exum, CB/S - Va. Tech I'm sliding him down a round since he hasn't played much.
Round 5: Carlos Hyde, RB - Ohio St. see reasons above
Round 7: Garrison Smith, DT - Georgia PERFECT fit as a 1T. Good size, can hold his ground vs. double teams, and can get the occasional sack (3rd on the team with 4 sacks so far this year - from the NT spot)
Round 7: Cornelius Lucas, T - KSU Our yearly project tackle.

I didn't bother with QB since we KNOW Jerry ain't pickin' one anytime soon LOL

Oh I thought you were envisioning what Rod would want. kudo's to you then I agree, I would love to see McCullers on the team & what Rod could do with him.

Yeah, were rather close in thinking. Drew has been a beast this year. My only issue is I think Yankkey has played himself into the 1st Round.

Yankey is essentially just a name to me best Guard available is all I care about. If they happen to play tackle as well then great

OK, but it appears he might be gone by the Cowboys pick in the second half of the 1st round.

Seems like a safe pick with limited upside.

I might be ready to get away from players with significant injuries.

It's doubtful that Marinelli would want this type of player. Yes he is a mammoth human, but lacks quickness.

Round 5: Carlos Hyde, RB - Ohio St. Big brusier with good speed to pair with Murray and Dunbar. I don't see this player available here.

Definitely adds a lot of size to the defensive line but neither (Tuitt maybe) are the kind of players who can single-handedly win one-on-one match up's and create pressure (Tampa 2 style).

I based the slots on the CBS/NFL Draftscout updated rankings (11/13). As good as Donald is, I'm not sure every team will view a 6'-maybe 6'1" DT as a 1st Rounder. Jeffcoat apparently is frowned upon by this scouting service. Exum has barely played after tearing his ACL in January.

McCullers maybe, but you are aware that Tuitt has 17 sacks so far since last season, right? And, he does this playing as a 5T in a 3-4.
