- Hats off to the Commanders, as much as I hate to say it. They beat Dallas straight up and didn't need a bad night from Romo to do it. Their offense, defense and special teams were at the very least slightly better today.

- The defense is having a major problem in being unable to make interceptions. I'm sure Tony will get ripped by some here for the pick, but it's just one turnover and if your QB goes through the season with 16 picks, that's not too bad. But Dallas has yet to make one pick on defense. Tough to win when you can't get picks because you're likely to lose the turnover battle, regardless if your QB is Tony Romo, Tom Brady or Tyler Thigpen.

- Another part the defense struggled with today is to stop the Commanders offense on more than one play in a row.

- Get ready for the idiots at BSPN to rip into Owens for wanting the ball this week and *gasp*, Dallas having the gumption to actually give Owens the ball. Throwing to him worked and when it didn't, it was because nobody was open, including Owens himself.

- I'm sure Garrett will get ripped for not running the ball enough. I thought he could have run the ball a little more, but in general the run game stunk today. I would've like to have seen Felix run the ball, but with the calf issue they may have been a little averse.

- Hate to say it, our defense is still for the most part...average.

- I still think Parcells' way of guarding against Moss was the best. Take your shots at him with Newman, but use a lot of safety over the top coverage.

- Anatomy of how to give up a touchdown. McBriar forgets how to punt and kicks a wounded duck which puts Washington at midfield. Then four plays later Ware misses a sack on Campbell who throws to a wide open Moss on a blown coverage. 3 mistakes in 5 plays usually leads to a score.

- I thought the refereeing was *mediocre*. The Skins DB's were getting away with some holds and illegal contacts, but for the most part that was only slightly frustrating. The Pacman missed face mask was ridiculous and I guess the refs still didn't get the memo that what Ware does isn't offsides (albeit Washington got a first down anyway). I'd like to see the 12 men on the field penalty play again because it sure didn't look like it to me, although that's a penalty the refs rarely get wrong.

- We need to get better play from our DE's. They are more or less decent and Canty isn't worth the money. In the past we could rely on the fact that they were good against the run, but now they are looking average there as well. And in Wade's scheme they are counted on to get a little more pressure on the QB than say in New England's scheme. Jay Ratliff can't do it all.

- Defense was getting fooled badly on the motioning done by the Skins in the first half.

- As much as I hate to agree with Troy because he's ridiculous when it comes to announcing Dallas games, he was right...a championship defense finds a way to stop the Skins offense on the last drive. Now finding out why Dallas isn't able to do that is another story.

- Statistically speaking, a 90.7 QB rating (Romo's rating for today) is more than enough to win quite a few games. But giving up a 108.4 QB rating (Campbell's) is not. Going into this year the defense allowed a 75 QB rating on the road in the games Romo started. However, they allowed an 86 QB rating at Texas Stadium. Now let's look into this year...in the road games they had a 74 QB rating allowed against the Browns and then a 80 QB rating allowed against the Packers. But in the home games they give up a 99 QB rating allowed to McNabb and a 108 QB rating to Campbell. I have no unearthly idea why they are so bad at home. The weather conditions don't make too much sense since the weather was perfect in both Cleveland and Green Bay. Perhaps it is the turf, but that shouldn't make THAT much of a difference.

- Ugh, I hate losing and I hate losing to the stinking Commanders. Hopefully there are no major injuries and the team can bounce back. They face good ole Zimmy next week who knowing our luck will show some signs of life against them come Sunday. But, we're still 3-1 which when the season started I would've taken when looking at the schedule.
