1- (14) - Kony Ealy - DE - 6'5 275 -Missouri, what can i say high motor. D Ware's replacement. Have to solidify this position. 2- (47) - Daniel McCullers - DT- 6'7 352 -Tennessee, enourmous with nimble feet. "BIG CAT II" Great upside. Him and Melton Oh my. 3- (78) - Ed Reynolds -FS - 6'2 206 Stanford, smart player centerfielder. Good size and value in 3rd round. 4 - Dakota Dozier - G - 6'3. 312 - Furman or Trai Turner - 6'3 305 - LSU., cant go wrong with either road graders need to be coached up a lil. Defenite starters if not this year next year for sure. 5-

Looks like a nice mock-that McCullers looks like a guy who could clog the middle.:D

Reasonable mock except McCullers.
1. He is not remotely similar to Leon Lett. Lett was a freakish athlete. He has Aaron Donald type quickness; however, Lett was not close to 352 lbs.

2. McCullers is not quick and is not a pass rusher.

3. McCullers is at the opposite end of the spectrum from a Marinelli type DT even at the 1 tech.

4. Even for a team where McCullers is a good fit, the 2nd round is too early.

I wouldn't be against a huge machine in the middle that just pushes the center into the qb's lap. No sack but presence is felt and hey maybe there's a first time for everything. I can pray right? I like the idea of mccullers

I love your draft. But I too think there is a better valued DT in the 2nd. I wish it was possible to pick up both G's you have in your mock. In all honesty, if we could get the trade deal discussed with Cleveland I believe you can trade back and still your mock draft is possible and you pick up another pick.

McCullers didn't consistently do that in college.

There are 4-3 defenses that have big, slow powerful guys at the 1-tech, but Marinelli's defense is not one of them.

I know. It's just a philosophy difference I guess. My thinking is if his 1 tech isn't primarily a rush man then why shouldn't we have a monster run stuffer in there? I know it won't happen just wishing.

I actually like the 3 and 4 picks better than the other two (As far as value goes)....I think McCullers is a 3rd/4th round talent and minimally can be had in the 3rd...I am so-so on ealy...I like Reynolds although I don't see the team drafting a S not named Dix or Pryor and then only if they fall to our pick in the 2nd (I don't think they will - they might not last until our first rounder)...thus, I don't see safety in the top 5 rounds for us The Dozier/Turner pick is solid and I would be happy with that

OLinemen are so big and strong these days and have the option to double-team a DT. It's difficult for the biggest DTs to beat a double team with power only. When OLinemen are not threatened by quickness, they can play a better technique against power rushers. It's when a big DTs have both power and quickness that good OLinemen struggle. The main guy that gave the Cowboys and Frederick problems last year was Dontari Poe. That's because Poe weighs 346 but is quicker than many 300 lb DTs (4.89 forty, 1.67 ten). Poe's speed numbers are similar to what Tyrone Crawford put up at 275 lbs.

That's pretty impressive and I can't really think of anyone this year that matches that combo. The more I read about Nix and Tuitt the more I read about their injury history and it's starting to make me scared.of them.

Check out game footage of DT Justin Ellis. He is very similar to Nix, IMO. He's not quite as strong but is a little quicker. They are almost the identical height/weight.
