If the cowboys intend to move on from Gallup this is the smart move. 1 year of gallop vs 4 cheap rookie years of a 2nd rounder? I’m all for it.

Id be shocked if we have both cooper and Gallup on the roster for 2022.

Exactly, my wish would be for Belichick to get fired and be brought to Dallas. Him and Jerry are close and Belichick is a fan of Dak.

The Gallup stuff is interesting. At his current pace, it seems unlikely we are going to resign him given the money he likely could get from another team. So does a trade make sense? the flip side is................ does a 2nd round pick mean more to the team than keeping him for another year and then likely getting a 3rd round comp pick from him?

I like this move. Dallas needs to get more on the defense side of the ball. Trade Gallup while he has high value and get a MLB to be a leader on the defense. This franchise has miss--in a massive way-- a LEADER like Micheal Irvin. The franchise really has not been the same since Irvin has retired. Ravens had Ray Lewis. The Seahawks had the Legend of Boom and now have Wilson.

Patriots had Brady and another key element to the decade long dominance of the Pats is trading away a player EARLY, while he has upside value to address a BIGGER need. Kept their salary cap lower and youth movement.

I like Gallup but the Cowboys can NOT pay 3 WRs big contracts. Dallas needs defensive help

Gallup for Moses or Bolden is a horrible trade. You lose that 100% of the time. I'm not sure either of those guys is even a top-100 player, regardless of the trade.

You'd also get the equivalent of a third-round pick if you just let him walk.

Cooper is the better player and will probably wind up cheaper. Once his guaranteed is up he will be willing to renegotiate his contract
