What do you think?

I don't feel comfortable with Murray, Rainey and Tanner as our running backs. I really wish we could get Brandon Jacobs, but I am probably the minority on that.

Brandon Jacobs? No thank you.

I'm tired of seeing shotgun within the 10 yard line, it bugs the hell out of me. That's the one free agent that I know everyone will give me flack for and I know that the team hasn't showed interest for a reason, but just the prospect of the big back is something that this team needs in my opinion.

Not bad, but come on Mang, Felix for a 4th.

I like most of the picks, although I think you can get Rainey in the 6th.

I wouldn't bid more than a 4th for Rambo.

No way we get Rainey in the 6th. He won't make it past the 5th in my opinion. Not having Demps in this draft will make his stock rise and there are a lot of teams who need a player like him.

he signed with the 49ers a while back, that could be the reason for the non-interest!

Check out video of Bernard Pierce. I think the guy is better than his draft grade. I would have thought he was a second or third round pick myself, but many of the websites have him as a fifth. I think he would be a steal, and would give us that four running back threat with Murray, Rainey, Pierce and Tanner.

Well that flew under my radar! Wow :laugh2:

I don't see us using two picks on running backs. I like that theys showed interest in Doug Martin, but he'd be our 2nd round pick if we were seriously considering him. Ganaway is another possibility.

Do you think we could get more or less for Felix? I do like Felix, but im thinking about having fresh legs for our RBs, and having many of them. Even Mohamed Sanu played a bunch of wildcat at Rutgers, and could be used as a RB

He's a big back but runs like a small back. He is soft, even Jerry Rice called him out last year. That's why the Giants dropped him.

Yeah, that's why I said I would be in the minority. I just think we need a back that will give us the flexibility to pound it up the middle on short yardage situations, and right now we don't have that in my opinion. It could also be our offensive line as well...

I agree. I think a better O-line, getting some push, will improve our short yardage plays. Too many times we would see Rbs getting blown up before they even had a chance.

Do you want a 2011 UDFA with minimal experience and a late round rookie as the backups to Murray? Don't forget that Murray has had some injury issues in both the NFL and in college. Felix is only 24 years old and will have limited carries with Murray being the starter. How un-fresh could his legs be?

Nope. I want a USDA with minimal experience, a late round rookie, and a small speedy running back from Florida to back up Demarco Murray. I have nothing against Felix, but if he was worth keeping, he probably should have been a starter after four years in the pros.

That's a safe bet.
