Yes, I know it's too early to be doing these. However it is late and I'm bored...maybe we can start throwing ideas back and forth no matter how early it is.

1a. Darren McFadden RB Arkansas- This is a no-brainer right here. Julius will be gone, and I like MBIII as a feature back, but McFadden is just one of those guys you can't pass on. Plus he's a Razorback so this is a perfect pick in Jerry mind.

1b. Malcolm Kelly WR Oklahoma- TO and Glenn are both aging and injury-prone. I like Crayton in the #2/#3 slot, but I can't see him stepping up and being that #1 guy. Hurd, Austin, and Stanback are decent depth, but they can't be counted on for anything. Kelly has the size and speed you look for, and could have some fun with Garrett, Romo, and Co.

2. Dwight Lowery CB San Jose St.- Terrance Newman's absence really magnified our lack of quality depth at CB. Lowery is a big, physical CB that has a knack for creating turnovers. He could be a real steal if we could get him here.

3. Dre Moore DT Maryland- Ratliff is working out really nicely right now, but his natural position is DE. Tank may provide something, but until he actually plays I don't want to count on him for anything. Ferguson will be entering his 11th season and his starting to get up there in age. Moore's got good enough size to handle playing the middle, and he's also a very good pass rusher. I think he will fit right into Wade's aggressive D-line approach.

4. Doug Legursky OC Marshall- Gurode has done great ever since moving to C, but we really don't have alot of depth behind him. Proctor and Berger are decent depth at G, but neither have much experience at C. Legursky has the size and strength to fit in with our mauling OL and has good enough versatility that he can backup both the G and C spots.

5. Jameel McClain DE/OLB Syracuse- Carpenter and Burnett both look more suited to the ILB slot which leaves Justin Rogers and Ellis behind Spencer and Ware. Until Ellis proves that he can play effectively after rupturing his Achilles' tendon, I'm not counting on him for anything. McClain was moved to DE from LB before last season, so he already know how to play the position. He's got a knack for getting after the QB too: 9.5 sacks & 14.5 TFL last year, 1.5 sacks & 3.5 TFL so far this year. In Syracuse's upset of Louisville he had 1 INT, 1 pass breakup, 2 TFL, 1 sack, and 1 FF.

6. Sam Keller QB Nebraska- I've liked him since his days at Arizona St., and I think with time he could develop into a good backup for Romo. He's got a strong arm and his accuracy is improving, but sometimes he trusts his arm too much and that can get him into trouble. He needs to learn how to read defenses better, and progress through his reads to find the open receiver but overall I think he's worth a shot here as a developmental backup prospect.

7. BPA- Every year big names drop for a variety of reasons. I think that with the current state of the team, that we can take a risk on one of those big fallers right here....low risk, high reward.

i think that is a great draft and would be very pleased if it turn out this way but I do not think it will due to these reasons:

1) Malcolm Kelly will probably go higher due to his play this year. Torched the U of Miami secondary. I would love to get him since he has great size, speed and most of all, work ethic.

2) Dre Moore will also go higher than what you projected as he had a very good game against Slaton. If he keeps up his productivity this year, he will be go alot earlier.

If this does happen this way, I would grade this as an A+ draft as the players you drafted are very good especially the top 4. Excellent job.

Question for you guys...........

Would you rather have McFadden and BPA with our pick Or would you rather have Dorsey from LSU and somehow be guaranteed Slaton with our 1st rounder?

I love me some mcfadden, but the second scenario would make me giddy.

McFadden was drafted prior to our pick so we traded down and added an early second rounder.

1A - WR Adarius Bowman - Ok St
Height: 6-4. Weight: 215.
40 Time: 4.48.
I love watching him play. He has great size and very good speed. He is like a man amongst boys right now in college. We missed out on Roy Williams cause we were too good, now we can use Cleveland's crappiness to land this beastly WR.

1B - CB Chevis Jackson - LSU
Height: 6-0. Weight: 190.
40 Time: 4.42
There are several CB prospects to choose from for my mock. I had trouble deciding. In fact, Jackson may not even be there when we pick. Yet, for the sake of my mock, he is. He goes to LSU. He plays an integral role on a top college defense that plays often against offensive players who get drafted in early rounds. I just think he has all the tools we need.

2A - DT Frank Okam - UT
6'5 320
5.00
We need a DT badly. He is the best one on the board at this pick. He is excellent against the run, and decent at collapsing the pocket on passing downs.

2B - RB Rashard Mendenhall - Illinois
5'11 224
I don't know much about him or if he will even declare for the draft. However, he is a power back, yet has very good speed and shiftiness. He is also one of the better receiving backs in the draft. I could go after Jonathan Stewart here, but he should be gone by this pick.

3 - CB Dominique Rhodes-Cromartie - Tenn St
I am tired of not having depth in our secondary. I know we just drafted Brown and Ball last year, but they were both late round guys. This guy seems to be one of the best small school prospects in the entire draft. He is dominating Div. 1-AA. He is 6'2, has a great vertical, covers like glue, creates turnovers, and allegedly runs in the 4.2s......Newman is already 30 and Henry is injury prone.....Jackson and RC give us two top level prospects to back them up.

4 - RB Yvenson Bernard - Or St
Height: 5-9. Weight: 202.
40 Time: 4.49.
I know I will get flack for drafting 2 RBs in this draft. However, IMO, Jones is gone. Also, Tyson blows. I can't stand him. So bring in his replacement, Bernard. Another physical back, who can catch passes out of the backfield. MB3, Mendenhall, and Bernard would give us 3 bruising, physical, versatile backs in our backfield.

5 - OC Doug Legursky - Marshall
Has started every game since his freshman year. He has been a rock on that offensive line. 6'3 311....He has the size we are looking for in a Center......Plus, this is our weakest position on the team. Gurode does not have a true backup. That is dangerous.

6 - OLB Brand Miller - Georgia
Georgia typically has quality defenses and their defenders tend to make quality pros. I see Carp moving inside, possibly Burnett too. 6'4 254 and 4.64 speed. Played 3 years at OLB, but his SR year they moved him to DE.

7 - QB Josh Johnson - San Diego
Height: 6-3. Weight: 195.
40 Time: 4.65.
One of the elite passers in 1-AA, Johnson has thrown for 6,586 yards, 70 TDs and only 13 INTs the past two seasons. Also rushed for more than 700 yards in 2006. Question his arm strength? The wind was howling at Monmouth, yet Johnson still managed to go 18-of-30 for 180 yards. Johnson's level of competition must be taken into consideration, however.
