i would so trade out of 17,i bet we can fleece some team for Love instead of drafting Ruggs.

I think that's a pretty great draft. Although I would prefer a DT or DE with the first pick, all the guys I wanted were already selected. Ruggs will make a great contribution to the team if he's the selection imho.

What team right behind Dallas would be a threat to draft Love? Teams could trade back to teams after Dallas for Love.

Aldon Smith is not a SAM. Particularly not at 287.

2 starters and 1 future starter in first 3 picks. Moss contributes.

I still don't see what you see with Murchison.

Hill is up and down, but when up, he can be good.

LB does nothing for me, but hey, it's a 7th round pick.

I'd be happy with this mock.

they dont have to be right behind us,heck there are so many teams with loaded draft capital like the Colts who could be enticed to part with 2 2nd rd picks and more.

Really like the top 3 picks, might be a little too opportunistic having Fulton fall so far. I don't think anyone really has a handle how the defensive scheme will truly look at: are going to have 3 down lineman, 1 stand-up rusher or 4 down lineman, with 1 edge rusher?

I'd love it but I suspect there's a good chance none of your first three picks will be there at the Cowboys picks.

Nope, they'll swing him to DE, and hopefully draft someone to fill the SAM.

Low priority. Lee and Thomas can capably fill those spots.

If Smith plays any LB, it will be in situations where we go with a 3 man front with Jaylon on the opposite side.

I watched several LSU games this past year and thought Moss played well. Great hands.

Aldon Smith is not a SAM. Particularly not at 287.

Guess you didnt see where i put the /

Meaning they i think Smith and Okwara would split in this scenario

I dont think ur grasping how Nolan plans to use the SAM. Kinda like a LEO spot. The SAM spot is going to be rusher first. Short down situations he could play the sam spot, and can be moved to the DL including the 3TECH spot if the size comes with strength. Or move to DE. Same with Gregory. I love what this team is doing with the DL, Before it was contain Lawrence and the rest you can live with.

Of course this all is based on if the league reinstates Gregory and Smith, but all indications seems to point towards they will.

Imagine a pass rushing DL of

LDE Lawrence
DT Smith
DT McCoy
RDE Gregory

Thats downright frightening

I would think Tank is more likely to slide inside on passing downs than Aldon is. Aldon is now bigger than Tank, but he's a pure edge guy,
This could be a very interesting defense, if Smith and Gregory are reinstated. With a couple good defensive picks, this could become a pretty scary D!
