COACHING
Dallas signs Urban Meyer as HC

RELEASES
Tyrone Crawford, Jamize Olawale, Cameron Fleming

TENDERS
Blake Jarwin, Antwuan Woods, Adam Redmond, Cooper Rush

RE-SIGN
Dak Prescott, Amari Cooper, Sean Lee, Joe Thomas, LP Ladouceur, Kai Forbath, Maliek Collins

FREE AGENCY(age)

Yannick Ngakoue DE(24)
Not going to command a big contract 8-10mil But is consistent. Struggled some this yr as did most of the Jags defense. Teaming him with Gregory if he's available or new coach might not want Gregory around.

Nick Vannett TE(26)
Better known for his blocking, which Dallas still needs after Witten reties. Cheap backup.

Kevin Johnson CB(27)
Former RD1 pick hasnt lived up to potential. Bring him in to compete for the slot.

AJ McCarron QB(29)
Bring him in to compete for the backup

DRAFT(21)

ROUND1
Grant Delpit S LSU
Has struggled late for LSU amd thats a blessing for Dallas. They get a guy who plays all aspects of a S. Covers, Tackles, plays in the box. Day 1 starter.

ROUND2
DeVonta Smith WR Bama
Dallas finds its slot WR and return guy in RD2.

ROUND3
Marvin Wilson DT Florida State
Moves good for his size. Never stop and holds up vs the run.

ROUND4
Shyheim CB Bama
Physical CB who can play inside or outside and even FS.

ROUND5
Adam Trautman TE Dayton
Lower level comp but he dominates receiving and blocking. Playing in the SR bowl this yr.

ROUND7
Jalen Hurts QB Bama
Player who can compete for a spot at QB or different posistions. He's an Athlete

I like the thought behind most of this, even though I don't like Meyer.

- I'd be shocked if Ngakoue gets less than $15m, he will probably be closer to DLaw's number.
- Johnson isn't really a slot guy - especially in Dallas - though I do think he could be an ok, cheap replacement if they let Byron walk.
- Like the work at TE, but you have to couple that with an Olawale replacement, unless they plan on carrying 4.

Like the draft a lot but I just don't see Delpit, Wilson, and Hurts falling that fall. Would love for them to because that would be great.

I can see that with Yannick, but not nowhere near Lawrence money. There are other guys there too Ogbah, Van Noy, Fowler Jr who will be alot cheaper. I think it all depends on what the new coach decides to do with Gregory.

I really like Ingold from Wisconsin at FB.

They already offered Ngakoue $19m.

Those guys should be a lot cheaper - but I don't think any are an upgrade on T Crawford, tbh.

Not bad. I'm not big on the Florida State DT but some people I respect are.

Jalen is going much higher than the 7th round.

Whether you think he's Lamar Jackson-like or even Taysom Hill-like, some teams are going to covet him.

If we hire Urban and we lose Byron, look for us to make a run at Joe Haden. Meyer and Haden are really close.

Apparently scouts dont think he's a QB in the NFL.

His reviews are all over the place.

Also, some scouts and GM's didn't think Lamar Jackson was an NFL QB.

There wasnt any doubt about Lamars skill. It was about him being so good running the ball because Lousiville's offense. Hurts issues are scouts dont think he reads the defense all that good which they point out his turnovers as being really bad throws that shouldnt be made. Ive even read some taht say theyve been told he doesnt understand the playbook. Thats not good. I think he would be a really good athlete type. I dont think he will have a set posistion in the NFL.

I thought you were a draft guy.

There was a ton of doubters on Lamar.

He was a RD1 pick, a ton?

What were the knocks on him?

The biggest was he was too skinny. He was a star in college since his freshamn yr. Hurts lost his job and went to a college that had nobody left after Murray went to the NFL.

This is from the third link you posted.

Ravens QB Lamar Jackson reveals the one team that wanted him to play receiver
Apparently, there was only one team that wanted Lamar Jackson to switch positions

Good one. You nailed me.

Another article said multiple teams requested him to work out as WR.

Again, I saw by your takes today you don't follow the draft closely. Makes sense now. Go Cowboys.

This is a direct quote from Lamar. One team wanted him to try out at another posistion. 1 team.
