Like the players, but a trade with the Rams according to the trade value chart should get us both their 2nd round picks they have, not a 2nd and 3rd.
I would swap Burns at CB with Josh Perry at LB. But just my uninformed opinion about Burns.

Would love to see this happen, just don't think Spence lasts that long.

But everyone and their mother here still mocks Wentz to us at pick 4 when we know he'll be gone so this was a nice change up.

No deal if you don't get both the Rams #2 picks.

Yes to all except Spence at #34. I take a DT; they need at least 2 that can impact the rotation.

I would take that draft in a heartbeat.

Why? This is why I hate draft pick value charts. What if elliott is our main target in round 1? Should we just take him at 4 and reject the rams offer and lose two picks? The charts are a good tool, but it all comes down to supply and demand. If we don't have multiple teams wanting to trade up we don't have much leverage to get full value.

I would swap Burns at CB with Josh Perry at LB. But just my uninformed opinion about Burns.

I wasn't sure Rams would do the deal for two 2nds, just tried to be realistic and make it for the 2nd and 3rd -- which I'd accept if I was Dallas and LA (unless Dallas really loved the remaining QB at our pick).

Would love to see this happen, just don't think Spence lasts that long.

But everyone and their mother here still mocks Wentz to us at pick 4 when we know he'll be gone so this was a nice change up.

I think Spence's off the field issues and less than stellar combine performance gives him a shot of sliding to the second -- even past our pick. I'd take the flyer on him and it seems like a Cowboys move to take him if he is available. If he is or not we shall see, but I'd designate this pick to a high end DL that falls out of the first round along with the Rams 2nd.

Burns is a fantastic athlete from the Hurricanes -- one of the top corners in the entire ACC. Had a number of INTs last year and pass deflections. He had to declare early to the NFL draft bc his mother passed away and his father is incarcerated so he could support himself and his family. I love his upside, his athleticism, and his background. I really want him to be a part of our secondary in 2016.

As I said earlier, of course I'd love the two seconds but I tried to be more realistic. I think moving down makes sense for Dallas, moving up makes sense for Rams so I did that deal. I favored it for Rams for a more realistic mock.. It'd be so fun having three 2nd rounders in this draft though.

That would be an impressive haul. Although, like others, I only see this happening for the Rams 1st and both 2nd round picks.

4th overall picks don't come around often. Why take a loss on the trade?

If we don't value Goff or Wentz then make the team that does pay.

So when LA says no to giving up their first three picks your pride wont let you take their 1st, 2nd, and 3rd round pick despite the fact that your going to get the same player anyways? I'm not saying you don't try to maximize the value of any deal, i just think the trade down scenario in the mock is realistic given this years situation.

Like most of the players you took but absolutely hate the idea of trading away from Goff, so.....

I don't want to trade down to begin with. It's not pride, it's value.

I would rather trade back up with our 34 to get back into the 1st if Elliott slides a little.

Agree
And spence is not going to last past the middle of first rnd

Maybe -- regardless my goal in this draft is to get Elliot in the first while acquiring additional picks in the 2nd/3rd. Spending my pair of 2nds, pair of 3rds, and pair of 4ths to (1) bolster the DL and secondary(Spence, Clark, Burns, Killebrew), (2) get another playmaker for the O (B. Miller), (3) get a rookie QB that the team can begin to groom (Prescott) ..

These names are replaceable depending on who is available / how our scouts view the prospects. These are just my own personal preferences -- and I've seen these players go in these slots or later from respectable sources mocks so I wouldn't say it is completely unrealistic. So I'm not saying it is Spence that will be there at 34, or Clark at 45 -- but given this draft there will definitely be viable edge rushers and stout DT's available in the 2nd and interesting secondary prospects in the 3rd-4th

I'm for taking a QB at 4 ONLY if the team COMPLETELY BELIEVES that they have a franchise guy. If there is some doubt on the QB, I'd prefer to take the sure blue chip RB that will help us NOW in a season where we should win the East and can make noise in the NFC playoffs AND will be a building block in the future. Like last year where I wanted Gurley, this year I want Elliot. A stud future top 3 RB is worth a first rounder.. Lets get back to that identity that brought us success

If we don't take a QB I could get onboard with Elliott after a trade down, even if it's just a few spots and adds a 3rd rnd pick. Now as with any player if you trade down you better have a number of others you would take in that slot that matches the spots you move down but as long as we don't just get Elliott I can see the value

If the Rams want Goff that bad, they'd do the deal. That team is basically a playoff contender minus a quarterback.

However, more realistically, they'll probably balk because Lynch is on the board. No telling how much difference they see between Goff and Lynch.
