Hello...it's New Year's (Happy New Year to My Fellow Cowboy Fans!) and pretty bored...so here is my first mock using draftTek's simulator as a starting point (thanks to ChrisinSoCal for website):

2.Patrick Chung, SS-I am on board with the simulator's pick here. Reason being I don't think Hamlin is a true strong safety as displayed in Ravens game. Chung is a smart player who tackles well....I'll take both on this team.

3.Daniel Holtzclaw, ILB Eastern Michigan--a leader, and sure tackler....guess you can see the theme here right?

4.Troy Kropog, OT--DraftTek has him going with our second fourth rounder. Used to be under 300lbs, now almost 320lbs so he will fit the type of big lineman Houck craves. Intense as they come and unlike our current LT disciplined.

4b.Ron Brace, NT--Monster nose tackle will allow Ratliff to move outside in the 3-4.

5.Andy Kemp, G-I think DraftTek has vastly underrated this solid lineman and as we all noticed this year you can never have enough lineman.

5b.Kenny McKinley, WR-Reminds me of Giants Steve Smith, he is no superstar, but a chain mover and eventually a very good slot receiver.

6.Cullen Harper, QB--Lost season, but his numbers improved after coaching change.

7a.Brandon Swain, OLB--DraftTek has him going in the sixth, but it's not inconceivable to see him drop. Small school guy with big production.

7b.Allan Langford, CB--Still coming back from knee injury. Nice year and could challenge for roster spot.

get rid of 5b and 6 and I am cool with this draft....not very flashy, but efficient and adds substance.

I already understand why Cullen Harper, but why remove McKinnley?

well i dont want to draft a WR.....now had we not traded for Roy, I would want a WR in the 1st or 2nd round......Maclin, Harvin, or Nicks.

Thats about the best mock I have seen so far. Well done. I think it very important that we address the middle of our defense. Chung, Holtzclaw and Brace wpould complete this defense.

Thanks I agree with you...the middle of the defense is where this team is lacking and Ratliff seemed to wear down a little as the season went along because Tank was no help.
