What once was a team full of hope, contending for the #2 possibly the #1 seed, is now cast off to spriling down in burning flames, destined for a wildcard or worse.

What once was a high powered offense with a new spark scoring at will, is now just a mere slug, unable to do anything

What once was a Defense touted for stoping the unstoppable Offense of the colts, is now quite possibly the worse thing to ever step foot on the dallas cowboy star

What once was happy fans, clamouring about Super bowls, and Pro-bowls, is now fans wondering if we will even win another game , let alone get in the playoffs.

My My My, how one huge *** kicking can turn everything from the outside upside down. But in reality people, BP is right, that game was nothing but a complete disater on the cowboys part. In now way does it depict the team, or the abilites of the team. IF anything, it serves as a wake up call, because in all honesty no matter what the players say, they were eating the cheese like it was last bit of food on the earth, and IMO they along with fans, and media got sucked up into Romo-world. All game long, the team was waiting on Romo to make the play, the fans were waiting on Romo to make the play, everyone was waiting on Romo to make the play, and all game long he didnt, and it showed.

On the eve of another game, people are waiting to see if we bounce back, and all i have to say is look at the schedule.

When was the last time we lost back to back games?

And you will have your answer as to what will happen tommorow

Good line about the team eating the cheese like it was the last food on earth. But I wasn't waiting on Romo to make the play. Romo has done his share up to this point. I was waiting for the defense to do something. I think they were way past due.

Every team we've played during our win steak kept pace with us. We've always had to out-score people. I've always been on edge when it came to our D. So many people have been obsessing over the wrong things in my opinion. I'm always of the mindset that defense wins championships. Right now, we're standing on shakey ground.

those are the points to every game starting with @ carolina.

We may not be shutting teams out 40-0 but those are not alot of points given up. in 7 weeks we gave up 20 or more points 3 times. And if not for a blocked FG only 2. The defense was not playing that badly

The reason for the change in mood is obvious. That was as bad a whipping as I've witnessed in 37 years watching the Cowboys!!

The only game worse imo, was the '85 Bears game. But I would put this butt-kicking up there with any other loss including the 38-0 loss we had in the '70 Monday Night game against the Cardinals.

I have to say the game this past week brought me back to earth as quick as anything else I have ever witnessed. Payton and Gibbs completely undressed Parcells, Zimmer and Sparano this past Sunday Night. Absolute domination and embarassment!

It's Friday afternoon and I'm still sick to my stomach about this loss. There's only one cure for this: a convincing win over the Falcons.

I don't know, I recall there was a game during the 90's SB run were we got beat pretty bad by a non-playoff team. I can't remember what team we played
or which year it was, I just remember being astounded by the fact that we could get beat so bad by a less talented team. Not saying this will happen, but the end result was another Dallas SB victory. So keep in mind that these type of losses happen even to great teams.

Trudat. But it just seems that we always had to keep people from scoring at the end of the game just to pull it out. But you're right now that I look back on the scores. Only the Colts and the last Skins game was one score differential.

The nfl is a week to week thing anyway, ask seattle. Two weeks ago they were talking about getting healthy and making a run at the 2 seed. Two weeks later they lose to inferior teams, and are in crisis mode. I see the boys going 10-6 at worst, and if we beat atlanta 11-5.

Absolutely. Nothing less. I want my Romo back to. I don't want no leash on him either.

Because as much as people whine and moan about the evil media, they can't stop eating the evil media's garbage. One week the evil media is telling us the Cowboys might be the toast of the NFC, the next all our weaknesses are exposed, and people's moods adjust accordingly. It requires too much restraint to realize that last sunday was an abomination, and that there are still three weeks left. The Colts, Cowboys and Seahawks aren't packing it in yet. Just like the Saints didn't pack it in after Cincy came in and shellacked thm in their house. They came back from that, won three straight, and are hot.

It's just too inconcievable that that could be us in three weeks, I guess.

The world has ended.

Actually, I thought the Skins game last year was much worse!

Actually, I am still sick about the loss to Washington with the FG block.

It is just 1 game, that one we should have won, this one we did not have a chance.

That team was the Eagles. They beat us 31-7, and they were a playoff team. We beat them 34-10 in the playoffs that year in 1992

A "W" is a "W" and an "L" is an "L". The Saints loss is as bad as that Commander fiasco IMO. Be it a blowout or a fluke last minute miracle, it's still a loss.
I'm not too worried given the last three games, but that's what bit us in the arse last year. Like opening day this year, that Jacksonville joke. In Dec/Jan, nobody remembers September. But after that game I was thinking, "we might pay for this later". And that Eagle loss this year in Philly, a winnable game. THAT was the loss when I said that's it's games like this that'll have us going into January fighting for our playoff life.
I'm still believing and not doubtfull..............just pissed off over some of our losses.

Nothing wrong with being mad about losing winnable (sic) games. You can only lose 4-5 games a year and generally have a chance at being a seeded team.

Everytime we lose a game I think about that game killing us. Often the loss occurs over a turnover or stupid penalty pouring salt on the wound.

I'm getting old enough to start worrying about living thru enough cycles of accumulating enough talent and coaching to put together a team capable of winning a SB.

You think you are sick to your stomach?

I am down here in Saints land.

Trust me, you don't want to be here.

I have had a variety of notes and emails left for me at work.

We'll rebound tomorrow night. I'm in it for the duration. I'm not fazed by one loss. Some people could benefit from a steady supply of xanax.

There were a couple in 1993. In week one against a n aging Commanders team, the Emmitt Smith-less Cowbos were trounced 35-16. Brian Mitchell had a field day against us:bang2: Later in the season, with Troy on the shelf and Bernie Kosar starting against Atlanta, Emmitt pulled his quad in the first quarter. Atalanta romped over us, Deion had a career day receving against us. I remember Berman and Jackson doing their little "primetime" chant on NFL Primetime. I was so Mad.

That utter shellacking we received will prove to be a godsend to this team. It's one game and a season it will not make. This team should be really grounded now and realize that it's going to take a lot more effort as a team to perservere to elite status.

We are still number #1 in our division and we all know this team can make some noise.:starspin
