My dog, Shasta, that I loved & cherished beyond words passed away March 31st. I was heartbroken :( She was a German Shepherd mix. So smart and loaded with personality.

I adopted a dog last week from an animal rescue. This is Scarlet. I wanted a dog that was nothing like Shasta because she is irreplaceable to me. Scarlet is so sweet. Her previous owners weren't very good to her. Someone gave her away in Feb. and then that person dumped her in the Dallas city pound a month later because they did not want to take care of her ear infection. It took her a couple of days to come out of her shell, but she is happy as can be now. I love her! Here she is on a Dallas Cowboys blanket :)

I don't know looks like a bit of a Commanders fan to me. :laugh1:

Just kidding really good looking dog I hope for many years of happiness with her.

congrats. Looks like a very pretty dog.
Oh and good job getting her from a shelter.

We shall be judged by how we treat our pets.

Lucky dog!

Thank you!

It's like I'm starting all over with a new puppy. This dog is 1 1/2, but she doesn't know how to ask to go out. I have so far caught her with a clothes pin, Q-tip, a ballpoint pen and a AAA battery. :laugh2: My dog Shasta was so easy to housebreak. I have no idea about her background. I don't know if she was an indoor dog at all.

Commander fan!?? :laugh2: How dare you!

Very pretty dog. Congrats!

And thumbs up for it being a rescue as well!

I dunno..

She looks like a Commanders fan to me.

I had a black cocker spaniel named Mindy and she lived to be 20 (human) years old. Man it was devastating when we finally had to put her down.

BTW Scarlet is a beautiful dog.
