where is Justin Blalock? I would be ticked if Dallas passed on him for Brown....Blalock can play tackle and guard....the only other OL I would want in the first besides Blalock is Kyle Young...he can play Guard and Center...either of those two could replace Rivera who has blown chunks since we signed him.

Has not looked good against a rather poor Iowa D line tonight.

yeah cause Kyle Young also plays for Texas......oh wait, NO HE DOESNT....but he is the best Center prospect in the draft, and can also play guard.....He would be a great backup for Gurode or even a solid replacement for Rivera.

So I picked one Texas guy...and yes I am a Texas homer, so what.....

If I had my way, we would have a few Texas players on the Boys....

Considering Iowa did not have exactly first class WRs, Aaron Ross looked pretty ordinary.

Ross has had a rough last 3-4 games all together.....but if you watch him enough u notice that he gets into trouble when he doesnt get on the WR at the LOS.....he does much better when he has tight coverage upon the snap of the ball....

the TD he gave up was when he gave a lot of cushion at the snap and then took a bad angle on the tackle.....but he did get an athletic INT in the end zone....

I am not saying he is flawless, but he does make plays...I want him for depth at CB and S, as well as his KR abilities....although tonight, he did not return kicks well at all...i was surprised at how off he was in the return game...He is usually lethal when u punt the ball to him.

I actually see Ross making a very nice FS in the NFL, instead of being predominantly a CB.....

Thats not that bad of a mock considering its so early. Don't think Rice is leaving SC this year and I see Ginn going in the top 10, other than that not too shabby.

I saw Aaron Ross 4 times this year and he did not really impress me at all.

burma just so u know the texas defense was subpar this year as a whole...I was very disappointed in the unit......especially the LB corp. Other than Derry, the LBers have been crap.

on the DL, when Robison went down, so did the overall productivity of the line. He had a nice game against Iowa, and as you saw, there was a lot of pressure on Tate and his backup as well as a lot of runs that were stuffed behind the line.....Unfortunately, the lack of quality LBer play and subpar secondary play allowed the Iowa offense to make big play after big play.

If I had to rate Ross based on past Longhorns - Nathan Vasher or Quentin Jammer, I would rate him as more of a Vasher type DB...and if he proves me right, then I would be more than pleased with him. I hope he doesn't turn into another Quentin Jammer.
