this guy plays nasty and relentless, any thoughts?

I saw him mocked to the Cowboys in early January as the best NT and was content. Now he is what, the 3rd or 4th best?

Parcells had him ranked as 2nd best DT in draft

Right around November and December, he was a top 10 pick. The guy is huge and plays with high energy. I wonder why he's dropped so much since ?

Heard Mayock talking on NFLN today & he said most teams have cooled on him & his tape was blah. If we go Barron 1 hopefully he'd be around at 45, not much difference in him & Brockers.

Also held him quite a bit if you watch closely enough..

He will need an authoritativeness figure as a coach. Still would eat Wade Phillips lunch, he would excel under Ryan. Basically what I'm saying is he needs to go to a team with a vocal leader and a DC who has a unlimited supply of Zippo fluid.

This coming from a die hard Penn St fan and alum.

Rob Ryan and Brian Baker would definitely have the "Zippo fluid" ... love that by the way :laugh2: ... needed for the job.

Never saw him as being a lazy player in any way, sdogo.

Not lazy, he has a short attention span. It's why he would find himself in Joe Pa's dog house often. He got sloppy, almost needed babysitting.

Still was also dealing with an injury issue at the end of the season...can't remember if it was his back, or a foot injury.

I'm all for PSU defensive players making their way to Dallas...come and join Lee and Connor!

Foot injury, and was being held all game.

I'll take most any talented PSU DL or LB. We have a good history of producing them. Still isn't lazy and i don't believe in the short attention span thing either, i think he works hard, and wants to get better. I think he can be a beast in the NFL.

Agreed, Sdogo. The film shows him to be inconsistent, at best...at least in the last year. If the guy's motor ran 100% of the time, he'd go in the first round. If you think you can get it out of him, you take him in the second. He actually fell all the way to #52 (Tennessee) in my mock because of the questionable motor.

Being injured for a third of the season can do that to you. He had 16 TFL in the 8 games he wasn't injured. He was being held alot at the end of the season too. Always showed a good motor though. Ran out of energy at times at the end of games, but that's a conditioning thing that can be fixed.

He seems to be injured a lot. Being injured might not be his 'fault' but subpar play is still subpar.

That being said I would love him at 45.

I agree all the talent with the head of Marty B nice headache to bring into the ranch IMO if we can coach him up.
