There is a widespread belief - among Cowboys fans, non-Cowboys fans, the media, etc. - that our offensive line is so good that anybody can run behind it. In my next blog, I'll be giving my opinion on my why that's not the case and explain why I feel like you CAN NOT just put any running back behind a great line an expect the same production. My target audience is people that have a basic understanding of football, but not much more savvy beyond that. I also know a few people personally......that should know better that I'll be pointing this out to.
I'll also be using some statistics that I believe will help my case. Among other things I'll be mentioning are:
-There's a difference between an 1,100-yard rusher and 1,800-yard rusher. They don't have the same effect on an offense.
-Chemistry between a RB and his offensive line often gets overlooked.
I'll post the link to the writing once I'm done......Thanks!!
