I see us releasing or trading Glover this year. $7.5 million cap number is too much

I see us releasing Allen (34) next year or redoing his contract based upon production.

Same for Ellis (30) and Flo (30) the year after that

Thoughts?

That would be an amazing off-season, but no way in hell can the Cowboys afford all of that.

And if the 'Boys try and unload Glover in any way this off-season, the cap penalty will be an unholy number and we will basically cripple ourselves for next years' off-season.

$1.2 million? I don't think thats "unholy".

I like Glover and would like him to renegotiate or stay, but saving $6 million is an awfully convincing argument to cut him.

That would be nice. Bently is my #1 wish in free agency... he's a mauler that would instantly upgrade the strengh and toughness of our interior OL.

Add McNeil in round 1 for ORT and our offensive line should be quite improved.

However, I betcha that Parcells and Jones want to see what they have in Pettiti after a whole offseason. He will be much improved I know... but will he be improved enough?

I think we go LB in round 1 and OG in round 2. I'd love to add a #2 with either Glover or Ellis. Maybe trade both for something like a #2 and a #3.

Then go into the draft with a #1, two #2's and two #3's and more cap room because we let go of Ellis and Glover.

That's an interesting name there you brought up. He's more of a Glover type, which would be good in a 4-3, borderline excellent. He's a great pass rusher, and very athletic.

Now personally I think that Ferguson needs to be replaced pretty soon by a guy like Ngata or Watson. Someone big big big. Someone in the range of 6'5 320ish plus.

So I don't know if BP would consider picking up a Glover type, although he is 305lbs. However again, since he's 6'5, he can easily put on 15 pounds and become an absolute beast. Nice prospect, I'm going to study the guy a little.

You are on the right track. Peterson and Vanderjadt might be to expensive.

but you can always pick up Longwell and a ILB that plays in the 3-4 right now no big name.

But Bentley and Mcneil and the Oline is set. The secondary would be set with a vet like Chavous at FS. a youn WR in the second rd.

Bentley will not be a free agent. He has already expressed intrest in staying in New Orleans. If the Saints release him, BP will be all over him like Mike Tyson at a beauty pagent.
