I think that's pretty fair. I didn't like the value we got for the 2nd round trade-down, and I think we were outmaneuvered for a number of players - we still ended up getting guys with decent value, but I wonder whether how many guys we "just" missed out on that we viewed substantially higher than the guys we got.

I guess I just get the feeling that Jerry's trading instincts, which are actually typically pretty decent, were not firing on all cylinders this weekend.

I wonder if last year influenced them. Remember how Jerry wanted to trade up for Hardy or even Bennett, everyone talked him out of it, and then Bennett fell to them anyway? And Hardy ended up looking like a bust. Maybe that influenced them to do the same thing again, only this time the players didn't fall all the way to them. That's why I say there's some luck involved.

But I'm like Alex -- I was hoping they wouldn't trade too many later picks to move up a few spots, because I thought we needed a big influx of young, hungry players with good attitudes.
