I love how he has played so far....his poise and feel for the game are beyond his years. He is playing like a savvy, seasoned vet, yet he is simply a 5-game rookie.

The one thing that does bug me though is his unwillingness to run the ball. There are a handful of plays each game when there is nowhere to throw the ball, but a free lane to run, and he simply throws the ball away. Even if he only gets 2-4 yds., that is still better than 0 and an incompletion.

I am not saying look to run first. I am saying if you go through your progressions and no one is open, if a running lane is there, take it and get what you can and slide.

This is my only real criticism of Dak so far.

He carried the ball for 20-25 times a game in college. I know it takes its toll. He wants to have a long career and is smart to stay healthy if possible. I think he is proving to be more like a Tom Brady like QB instead of Cam Newton.

I'd prefer for him to keep doing what he's doing. Let your workhorses (Zeke and Morris) take the hits.. They are more conditioned for it anyway.

I am fine with how things are going. Though we wish he would take more shots downfield, but then again why, if they are moving the ball and getting TDs then who cares.
Otter than that, nothing bothers me.

The deep ball will come, it's just not needed yet, but I do believe he will be good at that too.

Disagree hes running when appropriate and love the pass first approach.

in week 1 and 2, i was watching videos of dak and wentz to compare them.
this week, i was watching videos of dak and brady. still a big gap, but huge improvement. knock on wood

you can disagree. however, I am correct. There have been a few plays a game where he had nowhere to throw the ball, a huge running lane, and he didn't run. On some of those very plays, if he runs, we get a 1st down.

I'd like to see him take 2-3 deep shots down the field. It's the only thing missing from this offense.

Running quarterbacks win in college. Not in the pros.
do you understand the difference between a running QB and a QB scrambling to make a short gain when there is no other option

BTW, if he did run under the situations I spoke of, it would open up more for the offense, as the defense would then have to take someone out of coverage to use as a shadow for Dak.

He got himself clobbered late in the game. He normally slides at the right time but not that time. So glad that wasn't a disaster.
