My opinion of the best OL for the Cowboys

Collins was the Cowboys' best RT. This isn't 2019 anymore. What have you seen from Collins last year and this year to say he is the best?

Collins quit on the team last year and played only one game this year due to stupidity and selfishness on Collins' part.
The team came out of camp and determined Collins was their best right tackle. Take it up with them lol.

With the way Steele is playing, I feel like our best OL may be:

LT - Smith
LG - Collins
C - McGovern
RG - Martin
RT - Steele

I feel like this would get our best 5 on the field and help us with power players like Fletcher Cox.

if they believe in the best 5 guys on the field, I agree.

Why are we talking about the OL? Best group of the season. No changes needed now.
Two reasons:

1. I am afraid Connor or Tyler are going to get Dak injured due to the 1-2 times a game they get manhandled into Dak.
2. I want to be able to run against teams like TB when the whole world knows it’s coming. I think that will be a must if we make the playoffs.

Steele is not a better tackle than LC. McGovern is not a better C than Biadasz. Leave McGovern available to play part-time FB. Leave Steele available to play swing tackle.
Why are they so set against this:
LT - Smith
LG - McGovern
C - Biadasz
RG - Martin
RT - Collins

Determined? Or is it gifted?
Are their decisions infallible? See Jaylon Smith.
Jaylon Smith did not receive starter reps. And that's exactly my point. They came out of training camp and determined that LVE and Jaylon will be playing special teams because they will receive less snaps. They did not do the same for Collins....

You've never seen McGovern play 1 snap in the NFL at Center, not even in the preseason...

But didn't the coaches say just this week that he was coming along at center? They clearly aren't sold on TB or they wouldn't be giving so much in season practice to McG.

Is McGovern ready for center full time?

I kinda like this jumbo package with mcG at fb or as the extra linemen who should report as eligible.

Why mess with a good thing? This line is playing out of their minds right now. Zeke looks “rejuvenated” not because he lost weight but because he’s running through holes the size of a greyhound.

Collins is better than Steele, and I love using “Mac” as the goal line fullback as they have this year. I’m waiting for him to catch that inevitable touchdown...

They need a backup OC and at the beginning of the season, Connor Williams was the backup OC. Considering his issues snapping the ball, we should hope that they're trying hard to develop McGovern at OC.

first off CM is not ready to be a center nor are the DC ready to give up on tyler, hes a work in progress and about 10 games into his career thats still a rookie from where i sit and shuffling a line that playing pretty well all around is just not the answer,

ridiculous really you think or OL coach MM and KM aren't always thinking about this and fans somehow just dream this poop up? you think they somehow are overlooking these scenarios while at the stat 90+ hours a week?

when LC coms back he steps into RT and Steel becomes the swing tackle..McGovern allegedly is not a great LG but any move made would be McGovern over Cwill and i doubt that happens..

we need these guys to be ready for an i juury..no need to make these wholesale changes at this time..

but keep dreaming up scenarios here because that what they are, madden moves..it is a FEELING for sure..wont happen unless injuries' start taking out the OL like last year...

backup, YES, replacement , NO.

the OP is living in a dream world..

the coaches know our strengths and weaknesses at every position , they arent going to make moves like the op suggest. Thats a bit of overreaction..

the line's actually playing pretty well , so they struggled against so top tandem inside DTs a few plays, yet held their own most plays..

what’s up with the #BiadaszHate …

I thought I saw we were the #1 rated OL in the NFL. Only Cowboy fans see that as a reason to overhaul it for no reason in particular...

Let's let these guys play a little. Steele is playing well. I'm surprised and excited to see how much better he has been this year, but he is also getting beat some. Biadasz needs reps. He was a rookie with no offseason last year and was injured and didn't play FT. He has really played some tough DTs so far but has been really good in the run game and just needs to strengthen his seat when facing a bull rush IMO. I think he has another level in him and hopefully we see it this year. Williams has been good sans the holding penalties against the same tough DTs. I do think McGovern today is better OL than Biadasz, but as a center...I'm not so sure and if you have problems at center your offense stops. As far as McGovern vs Williams, I'm in the McGovern camp for sure from what we have seen and am not sure why the coaches keep picking Williams, but I'm not blowing it up while things are going well. It's a long season. I suspect this will play itself out for the better by seasons end if we are lucky enough to stay healthy which isn't a given with T Smith out there even though he's been fantastic
