My opinion on Dak going forward

Hi Cowboys nation. I haven't been on due to back problems but I wanted to login and give my fair and honest assessment of Dak. Last year I stated I didnt believe in Dak nor Mccarthy. I still don't believe in big Mike.

However dak played well out there .... in a loss. This is my main issue with dak. He puts up stats but not wins. Im not saying he's a bad QB, but I am tired of losing. Now us losing the game wasn't on Dak, but I want to see Dak take over a game and win it. This also might be the fault of iffy coaching.

Dak I admit is better than I thought but he hasn't won me over yet. Get us into the playoffs and at least a WC win and then maybe I'll believe!

That's fair I think. Dak had a great game no doubt, but to get to the elite status he will need to make fewer mistakes , like only 1 or 2 per game and not critical mistakes. he does that he can be élite and I think he will, I see an improvement in his passing game from last year, his motion looked different this game, he over threw one and under threw another it appeared to me but he looks like he is on his way!

Thank God that we have Dak Prescott. Watch the rest of the division play tomorrow and be thankful. The odds on any of those teams getting a qb as good as Dak over the next decade are slim and none.

this game was Romo game not the qbs fault his Wrs dropped passes(ceedee) and his FG kicker missed easy chip shot xp and 30yard fg..we lost by 2 think about it how about teh non OPI call...laying this on the qb is not right man..

the coaching was also solid...this was poor execution by few players not named Dak...not this time this wasnt garbage time comeback near loss stat game dak played well from snap one until the finish..the team was prepared played hard with energy some nice play calling got TOs etc etc

Nothing wrong with wanting more, Dak had a good game but we did lose and honestly we should've have won that game. We need to see this team move forward from this and fix what needs to be fixed. This team should make a deep playoff run with the players we have leading the offense. That defense needs work still and hopefully it will get more adjustments this week...The ST needs to show up not just the PK but the coverage on kicks as a whole was not good.

I think what is trying to be said, and this is not on Dak by any means. It's that losing teams find a way to lose at the end. Most NFL games are competitive and come down to less than a TD difference. But the winning team makes the play at the end and the losing team does not. Dallas did not. Dallas made some bonehead mistakes like TSmith holding and Dak taking a sack and not picking up one more first down. Things that make you lose. TB also made mistakes but was able to overcome those at the end. They made the final drive that was necessary. Yes both teams left points on the field, but its the final possession that counts.

I have been a critic of Dak but he is now playing at a really really high level. This loss is on STs and FO for not addressing DT properly. Not on Dak

Agree 110%. Had he NOT missed those 3 field goals, HE would have finally defeated a good team. Oh & that dropped pass in the 1st quarter would have given Dallas a 1st down in scoring position.

He plays as well as the team. If they are fired up, he is. But when he has to step up and be the reason the Cowboys are better, he chokes.

Well, if you understood anything about football, then you would know that Dak isnt the reason we are losing and has little to nothing to do with it.

FYI............Cowboys made the playoffs twice and already won in the WC game with Dak at QB.

You're slightly mad.. Every team in the league would of been favored to lose in Tampa but yet we could of should of won.. Yes we lost, but Dak was the best player on our team.. Why don't you find fault with what is the real issue and that we just haven't put it together as a complete team and coaching! Every team in the league most likely loses in Tampa, there comes a time where you have to be objective and really look at what you see before you... That was a game that we would of been lucky to win, even Big Mike deserves some kudos for having us ready to nearly upset Tampa. Yeah it sucks to lose, but as I said be objective for crying out loud, it's a new season..

so all the wins/losses are on the QB...and nobody else takes responsibility? is that what you just said? well, if the defense could make a stop at crucial times to win a game, it would be nice.

btw, the loss was clearly on Moore and MC.....they mismanaged this game so badly.....the last drive should have taken over 3 minutes, not just 2 minutes....the coaches should know that and should communicate that to the players. stay in bounds....Dak made a great throw to CD, who ran a great route and caught the ball on the left side and started running after the catch, except he didn't go down inbounds, he ran out of bounds and stopped the clock...we had 3 timeouts if we needed to...the plan should be to go down and score a TD. if not score a FG, but whatever we do, lets not leave any time on the clock for them to have a chance....that's not on the players. that's on the coaches to manage the game... Moore had the wrong personnel grouping or called the wrong play for the personnel on the field inside the redzone several times....that's on the coaches, not players.....the coaches have to put the players in a position to succeed, and they didn't do a good job of that....

Brady made mistakes..... is he not elite? he made more than two mistakes....but he won the game, so I guess its a wash then? if zeurline makes a 31 yard field goal and a simple Point after...all of this would be moot...is that on Dak?
