We're a better team today than we were after that debacle in Philly, and thats all that matters.
We're not better, sorry to ruin your day. Our picks are solid no doubt, but the main core of the team will be the same core that won 9 games last year. I don't see how we've improved.

One way we definitely will be better is that the 3 games butchered by brad johnson will be qb'd by romo. or at the worst kitna.

ANd that's worth 1-2 games minimum.

Maybe you need to check the health status of our team today vs that one that limped off the field in Philly.

Maybe you need to notice the vast upgrade in special teams coaching, and special teams contributors.

Some of these guys we picked this weekend will end up being key role players this yr.

I am all for shoring up with solid achieving players when you are not in the position for drafting marquee players of substance. Frankly we need more of those, hungry capable players looking to flourish in the NFL on our team right in the faces of the naysayer. Don't forget we have a darn good core of veteran players.

I wish we would have had the opportunity to bolster the Oline even further, but you can only do so much in one draft.

Great post. The only thing I disagree with is the kicker selection but you stated your case nicely in that regard.

I can recall one of my coaches saying that the key for building a team is finding the right combination of super star players and players with demonstrated ability (team leaders, try hard guys, stat leader guys, et al).

I love the LB and DB picks because all of them have shown demonstrated ability. The first step to achieving a goal is the ability to see yourself accomplishing the goal. Next is actually doing it. After the "doing it" becomes habitual it often translate into success, which becomes the new norm for the entire team.

I am looking forward to seeing our new dirty dozen in action as this draft have renewed my enthusiasm for the season.

Bye, bye G. Ellis, Barbie, Watkins, and any other under achiever or malcontent that will try to steal a roster spot.
