trade down bit in the first rd and hopefully trade back in for either player that is a late first rounder

1 Christian Hackenberg, QB, 6-4 #240 Penn St

1 Ezekiel Elliott, RB, 6 #225 Ohio State

or if not get an extra second round pick

2a Hunter Henry, TE, 6-5 #255 Ark

2b Derrick Henry, RB. 6-2 #245 Ala
2b Corey Clement, RB, 5-11 #220 Wis
2b Devontae Booker, RB, 5-11 #215 Utah

3 Will Redmond, CB, 5-11 #185 Miss State

4 Mekale McKay, WR, 6-4 #194 Cincinnati

4c Kevin Byard, S, 5-11 #230 Middle Tennessee

Hunter Henry would be one TE I would love to have in the second round.

If we take another 2nd round TE, my TV is in trouble !

I think we have 4 positions that are at the top of my wish list for the first 2 rounds - any combination of the following would work for me. But these (to me) are the must haves.
QB - prefer 2nd round. Gonna sit hopefully for a couple of years.
RB - If the other choices are taken when we are on the clock, I'm OK with a stud RB.
WR - If we are in a position to get say a Treadwell or someone of that ilk, do it.
DT - It's a must have and would be my first choice. 1st or 2nd round, this is my top priority.

I think you forgot CB for two reasons. 1) The cost of FA CB and importance of the position 2) Look what we are trotting out there.
A play making safety would also be something not seen around here in a decade

Didn't forget, gave my 4 positions for the first 2 rounds. I haven't been any good at predicting what this FO would do anyway, but CB is pretty high on my wish list. Actually higher than FS, as I think that is where Jones will permanently play next year. So yes, I would take a CB in the 3rd and beyond, as I would re-sign Claiborne to a reasonable deal and cut Carr.

If Hackenberg declares (I don't think he will), and the Cowboys liked him, they would have to draft him with their first round pick b/c he wouldn't be there in the 2nd round. QB's always rise before the draft. Goff and Lynch will likely both go in the top 10. Hackenberg and Cook will both likely go in the last 10 picks of the 1st round, or the early 2nd at the very latest.

I think Dallas might like Connor Cook more than Hackenberg anyways though. Just speculation. But I think Hackenberg will return to school once he sees that he's not a guaranteed 1st-Round pick, and that he's the 3rd or 4th best QB available.
