today at practice...

What it is all about!

Roy Signing autographs, he was great with this! He does look slimmer this year, but he still looked slow out there to me. Will have to look at him a bit more tomorrow.

Roy and Hamlin- These two seem to be good friends, they are always talking.

Adam Jones in the foreground and Courtney Brown in the back...

Campo working on technique with Scandrick- Crayton and Jenkins in the background. Campo really is active with working with all of the dbs, especially the young guys... good to have him back, believe it or not!

TO vs. Jones- My 2nd favorite picture from today besides the trophies! This one taken just as they locked up. They matched up quite a bit today, again, and it was fun to see. Jones really is vocal during practice and really brings that Michael Irvin spark to the team. IF this guy keeps his head on, he will be the best addition since, well, TO!

HAD to take a picture of this! Mcquisten signing autographs with his helmet on. He was the ONLY one who did this, i guess he didn't want to scare off the little kids! look at those arms....eeeek!

Picture from the beginning of 11 on 11. Not much to say about this picture.

I had some more pics, but they didn't come out as well as I hoped. I will have some good ones tomorrow. If anyone wants a picture of someone in particular, let me know and I'll try and get a good one. Not easy though, especially since I don't have the best camera.

I'm a little annoyed at myself today, I feel like I really didn't make any concrete analysis. I was kind of starstruck by the experience and fumbling around trying to get good pictures. I actually missed Barber's trucking of that DB today!

Here is what I noticed today...

Scandrick and Jenkins- These two look like they are going to be players. They are pretty big too. Jenkins made a ton of plays today and I like how Campo was constantly coaching these guys up. I think they will get better and better as camp goes. Noticed Jenkins returning some kicks too.

Adam Jones- Really impressed by him. I like that he is a chatterbox and always looking to take on TO. It was fun to watch. He was also yelling to the punter to actually Punt the ball during punt coverage drills when the coaches threw it to him! I thought it was humorous.

Felix "the cat" Jones- This guy's nickname fits him perfectly. I don't know if it is his number (28) or what, but he reminds me of Marshal Faulk. He is smooth and I like that they are put him in motion out wide and lining him up out there. He is going to be an unbelievable weapon for us. He should be exciting! Had a nice long run today up the gut too.

Tashard Choice- Much smaller than I thought, but he runs really hard. Very reminicent of Barber, which is what I have been hearing. Seems like someone who will get tough yards and move the chains. Quicker than I thought he was. Will take more of a look at him tomorrow.

Alonzo Coleman- for the first 15 minutes or so, I thought he was actually Choice. He was running really hard, had nice moves, and seems like he wants it. I liked him last year, he seems like he will be a tough cut.

Isaiah Stanback- really an impressive physical specimen. If this guy gets all the nuances down, look out. He seems like he runs poor routes to me, little slow out of breaks too. But when he gets going, he looks like an elite player to me.

Marcus Smith- Watched him go against Flo in 11 on 11 and didn't do much. Will watch him more, but the 5 plays I focused on him, they were uneventful. Looks physically like a player though....

Doug Free- Really got to focus on him during 11 on 11 vs. Spencer/Ellis. I thought he did well and didn't give up anything to those guys. Will watch him more tomorrow.

Roy Williams- I didn't see much different in Roy on the field. He looks like he is in shape but he still looks slow to me on the field. 2nd team nickel and playing the LB spot in that D. Henry plays it on the 1st team. Will look at him more tommorow. Was still awestruck a bit when he was standing 2 ft away from me signing autographs though!

I'll have much more tomorrow when I'm a little more focused! :D

I understand where you are coming from since the Campo era was the lowpoint for the franchise since the 1-15 year, but while Campo was really not head coach material, he was a HELL of a DB coach. Great move bringing him back and major kudos to Campo for coming back after being forced out. That shows incredible character IMO.

Yup, I agree. Great job bringing him back, the players love him to. It is obvious.

Danny Amendola will solidify his roster spot by the second pre-season game and contribute to the success of the team throught the year. Mark my words. And whither the anti-Amendola faction then? Huh?

There is no anti AMendola faction.

There is just a anti-get crazed up and hyped up about an undrafted rookie.

it took Romo 4 years to become who he is, and you guys swear Amendola is the next HOF'er before he even steps foot in a game.

Who was that last training camp god, that just blew everyone away at TC but couldn't do anything in the game.
Oh yea Randall Williams.

Fans never learn there lessons

See, this is the type of crap that bugs me.

Do me a favor and find ONE person that has ever said Amendola is the 'next HOF'er'. ONE. Almost every one of his supporters has clearly stated that they simply think he's got a shot at the roster...nothing more....and for some reason it seems to offend some people on this forum. Guess what, it's true, he does have a shot, and you saying otherwise doesn't make you smarter or cooler than those who think so.

No one is blowing this out of proportion except for people like yourself...and it makes it look like there is and anti-Amendola faction.

Let me know when your ready for your next lesson.

Funny how it is always one extreme for the people that do not like a player.
Most people see him as a good solid 3rd wr in the slot for the future and like the way he plays the game. You when championship by putting these type players around your star players. Guys that know their role and produce yes you need the star players but you also need the guys that compliment them. I have not seen one person expecting greatness from him but expect him to be a solid player. I mean come on if he makes the team we cut a guy like Miles Austin who has done what exept show that his hands are mediocre
