Post Combine Mocks.. Depending on who we take with our first pick the rest of the draft will be completely different so I thought I would do 1 with each of my 3 favorite 1st round options (Cooper/Vaccaro/Lane Johnson)
1st Mock:

Round 1: Jonathan Cooper (OG, North Carolina)
In my opinion he is the best guard in the draft for out system..day 1 starter and key piece to the team for years to come.

Round 2: DJ Swearinger (FS, South Carolina)
Hard hitting safety with attitude..Need some toughness on this team and he brings plenty of it..finally allows us to get rid of Sensabaugh

Round 3: Christine Michael (RB, Texas A&M)
Extremely talented back with some character concerns but well worth the risk in round 3.. Finally someone that is worthy of starting if Demarco goes out

Round 4: David Quessenberry (OT, San Jose State)
Can compete with Parnell for the starting RT spot.. Really like his upside

Round 5: Montori Hughes (DT, Tennessee - Martin)
Under the radar DT who can get up field pretty well.. Can compete for a spot in the DL rotation

Round 6: Rodney Smith (WR, Florida State)
Big athletic receiver with soft hands who was not very productive but in round 6 I think he would be a great pick up
2nd Mock:

Round 1: Kenny Vaccaro (S, Texas)
Clearly the best Safety in the draft..He is a sure tackler and has range..Also great ball skills..

Round 2: Sylvester Williams (DT, North Carolina)
His stock has fallen a little but he gets up field and will be in the mix from day 1

Round 3: Alvin Bailey (OG, Arkansas)
Pretty underrated guard in my opinion.. easily would be the best on our team (not saying much I know)

Round 4: Cobi Hamilton (WR, Arkansas)
Another big athletic receiver.. Too many drops in college which is why you can get him in the 4th round but with some coaching can contribute

Round 5: Mike Gillislee (RB, Florida)
Great pick up in round 5.. Solid back up for Murray

Round 6: Michael Williams (TE, Alabama)
Big physical blocking Tight End..Hanna is our #2 but we need a blocking TE to round out the position

3rd Mock

Round 1: Lane Johnson (OT, Oklahoma)
Very Athletic young tackle who will start for us at RT and help sure up the line

Round 2: Larry Warford (OG, Kentucky)
Another guy whose stock has dropped a little bit due to his lack of athleticism at the combine.. but in round 2 he will be too good to pass up

Round 3: Andre Ellington (RB, Clemson)
Playmaking back who can be a change of pace back and a solid back up for Murray

Round 4: Dion Sims (TE, Michigan State)
Big physical TE with blocking ability but also some receiving potential as well

Round 5: Everett Dawkins (DT, Florida State)
Another guy who can be in the mix for a spot in the DL rotation

Round 6: Ray Ray Armstrong (FS, Miami)
Kid who was projected to be a 1st round pick before the scandals happened at Miami and he was one of the casualties.. Would love to have him on the team..Hard hitter..plays with attitude and extremely athletic

Let me know which of these mocks would be best in your opinions..

Gotta go with the 1st one because we get Cooper.

He should probably be the 1st player on their draft board. Fits their scheme at biggest need.

Now if I can combine all of them, I would go like this:

RD 1: Jonathan Cooper - OG
RD 2: Slyvester Williams - DT
RD 3: D.J. Swearinger - S
RD 4: David Quesenberry - OT
RD 5: Mike Gillislee - RB
RD 6: Rodney Smith - WR

Wow, now that looks good. Love the Quessenbery pick. He looked good at the Combine. Gillislee is my favorite running back in the draft. Dont know much about Rodney Smith, but he has good size.

That draft would give you 4 starters: Cooper, Williams, Swearinger, Quesenberry

Gillislee would have a huge role in the offense also.

Smith would be a project, and may wanna look at taking a guy with return ability in the 6th. Ace Sanders?

With the run on D-Tackles, I think Williams could slip into the 3RD. This would be my dream draft:

RD 1- Jonathan Cooper- OG
RD 2- Jonathan Cyprien - S
RD 3- Slyvester Williams- DT
RD 4- David Quesenberry - OT
RD 5 -Mike Gillislee - RB
RD 6 -Tyrann Mathieu - CB/ Kick Returner

That would be with Spencer re-signed. If not, gotta get a Defensive End somewhere at the top

That would also be an excellent outcome.. Don't think with Garrett being obsessed with "Right Kinda Guy" we would go after Tyrann Mathieu though.. From what I have heard he isn't even on our board at all they have taken guys like him and Baccari Rambo off the board all together.

A lot of good players.

I would wait for Christine Michael in a later round. He has injury and character issues.

I don't like Vacarro in the 1st. There are too many other good safeties in this draft.

Larry Warford is not a good fit for Callahan's Zone Blocking Scheme.

I might try Ray Ray Armstrong (6-3, 229) at LB.

I think I like the 3rd one the best, actually. If we land Lane Johnson Tony may never face outside pressure again. And warford in the second would make me a happy person...perhaps with both of them we wouldn't need to practice the zone blocking scheme(which hasn't really helped us in pass protection or run blocking anyway) I also would be very happy with Ray Ray in the 6th....Dude has great talent.

I somewhat agree on on Warford not fitting the scheme.. The guy can't really move well enough for that scheme but I think if he is there in round 2 he might be the BPA and give us no choice.. He will be an upgrade over what we have regardless and won't get bullied by opposing DT's the way Bernardeau and Livings were.

As for Vaccaro I have to disagree.. I think that he is a pretty special player.

And for Christine Michael.. I don't think you can wait too long to grab this kid because someone is gonna take a chance

Absolutely..The 3rd draft pretty much immediately makes our OLine above average..

Ray Ray is a great talent.. REALLY hoping he is on the Cowboys radar

Lane Thomas is the least likely of your 3 first round picks to make it to #18. Many analysts had him as a top 10 pick before he blew-up he combine.

Agreed I think Lane Johnson falling to us is unlikely.. Not particularly thinking that will happen.. My hope honestly is that either Cooper or Vaccaro makes it to us I would be beyond happy with either pick.

I like Lane Johnson, but until we fix the interior of the offensive line, Tony isn't going to have room to step up in the pocket and even two talented tackles are going to have trouble keeping edge rushers off of Romo.

Johnson should be gone by 18 anyway. Cooper would help make whoever is playing at tackle look better.

Give me that draft and I'd be thrilled.

Cooper is a day 1 starter at guard. Cyprien would likely be a day 1 starter at S, and Williams would get plenty of snaps in a DL rotation that would keep everyone fresh.

Not so crazy about the 4th or 5th round picks, but I've seen worse. I'd rather take Stepfan Taylor in the 4th and a guy like OLB Hodges in the 5th.

That would give you 1 OL, 1 DL, 1 S, 1 OLB, 1 RB, and 1 CB. It would help just about every unit on the team.

Love Mathieu in the 6th, but I don't think he makes it that far. If he is there in the 5th or 6th and we don't take him, I'm going to be upset because he is well worth the gamble and unlike most guys with off field issues, I think Tyrann will be a positive in the locker room. Guys love him and his energy, and he quickly becomes the heart and soul of whatever group of guys he's playing with.

He could be either a vital part of your team or cut... which wouldn't be a tragedy for a late round pick.

Yep. At this point, I think its more likely that Joeckel falls to 18 than Johnson.
