I honestly wouldn't risk it. It may be possible though, with Carr/McCarron/Garrapolos still on the board it could be until the 4th until the next tier of QBs starts flying off the board.

Really? I didn't realize future mediocre qb's are worth praying for. After listening to Jerry's reasoning for passing on Manziel I feel pretty confident he won't waste a 3rd or 4th rounder on a QB.

But we should pray that our 34 year old QB with 2 back surgeries is going to be injury free and his arm stronger then ever defying all medical odds and physical odds. There are a few of us here who have had the surgery Romo has and are not confident in his health because of our own experiences. This isn't an ACL where sports medicine is very advanced. It's amazing how little we do know about the back. As someone who has the injury and exploring all options of surgery and being the same age I just don't see how we have all this said time. We went thru cap hell with Aikman and his injuries at the same age, and we would be potentially facing the same situation here. I think some are so hung up on Romo that they are forgetting the past. That's fine Romo has been a solid player for this club, but where in Jones comments do you get a feeling they are even thinking about QB in the next year or 2?

Jones says many things especially when drinking. They have medical staff and if that thought Romo couldn't go this season they pick JF last night. I remember the past but the whole team was old when Aikman retired, we aren't even close to the same situation. We are very young with capable backups for now

I understand they have a medical staff and I didn't say he couldn't go. We have no idea how he will do taking hit after hit. He hurt that area on a scramble remember? Since when is Brandon Weedon a very capable backup? The guy was terrible! Obviously they weren't sold on JM and Bortles was the highest rated QB and that could be why he wasn't taken.

Weeden is an ok backup especially with our offense. Could win a game or too. This is my thing and I'm going to say it once, had we taken a QB in the first round then we know the staff had concerns about Romo not going. That said If we take a Murray, Renner, Gilbert or any other QB this year I wouldn't mind at all. Didn't hurt to draft QBs
