FA SIGNINGS
Trent Cole DE
New starting SDE. I dont think he has the step to continually beat LTs anymore, but i think he could really do some damage going up against slow less athletic RTs. Would like to see him start and the team see what they have in Gardner in a rotation.
CJ Spiller RB
Can be a very good lead guy in a rotation of RBs. Runs inside and has the ability and speed to kick it outside, and the burst to take it to the house. Word is Dallas doesnt trust Randle and i think its only a matter of time before he's released. Not only that he;s being charged with domestic violence, possible suspension. Time to move on.
Stephen Paea DT
Familar with Marinelli, as it was Marinelli who drafted him. While i wouldnt like this signing, apparently the team is interested in him. Could use work against the run, but provides passrush from the 1tech.
DRAFT
ROUND 1
Benardrick McKinney LB Miss State
Physical thumper who is good vs the run. Strictly a 1st and 2nd down LBer, and def not a guy for the nickle downs. Would be a solid replacement for Rolando and all his problems.
ROUND 2
Mario Edwards Jr DL
One of these versatile DL Marinelli likes. Can play at end kick inside and has rushed from the standup. Dallas has already showed interest. Let him battle it out with Gardner for the backup to Cole. Nothing wrong with competition. The loser getting kicked inside to rotate at the 3tech.
ROUND 3
Chris Hackett FS TCU
Player who can play different roles for the Cowboys in 2015. Cover the slot and play the single high in situations Dallas takes Church off the field.
ROUND 4
Rob Havenstein OT Wisconsin
Needs some work in the weight room but comes from a great school for OL. Dallas will probably be ready to move on from Free in a couple of yrs.
ROUND 5
Ladarius Gunter CB Miami
Long CB who can play zone and man. Needs to work on his jam but he is very disruptive on them crossing routes. Would be a good as a slot CB for the boys.
ROUND 7
Hayes Pullard LB USC
Knows the system Dallas plays, and has played both inside and outside in this system for the trojans.
ROUND 7
Connor Halliday QB Washington State
Let him compete with Vaughn for the 3rd QB
