The Duckett trade = the end of the Skins for the next 10years. This is the last straw in a long history of whoring away draft picks to bag the top free-agent.

Skins have an injury plauged season, and somehow.........inexplicably......... fail to pick up the "complicated, yet (i swear it's genius) sweet offense" Saunders offense this season. They end up 4-12.

The 4-12 Skins get happy by their 4th pick in the first round of the 07' draft......... but someone reminds them of the stupid trade they made with Denver. Denver finishes by losing in the AFC championship game and has the 30th pick. The skins cry when they realize that they have to trade the 4th pick for the 30th pick in the first roujnd of the draft.

Joe Gibbs retires and apologizes for selling his christian pamphlet giving, bible thumping, Skins future destroying, soul for one chance at winning one more championship.

The Skins finallyt realize that they have been living a lie and boo-hoo about how they gave every draft pick they had for the last 6 years and got a bunch of losers for it.

The boys go on to win 2 SB in a row and LAUGH when anyone asks if the Skins are their rivals still.

GOOD LUCK IN 10YEARS SKINS!

nice, but Skins will never admit to any mistake, and Joe Gibbs will retire becase he team went 4-12, not because of the draft picks:D:D

But the skins suck

30th for 4th is impossible based on the way the trade is set up. All the possibilities basically work out to the same value, roughly a 3rd round pick.

If it really was a straight swap, that would be a big risk for the Broncos as well. It'd be russian roullette between the teams... so they set it up with certian rules.

I could be wrong, SW, but I believe the trade was set up so that Wash and Den swap 1st rounders if Wash finished with a higher 1st round pick, but if Wash finished with a lower pick, Denver would simply get Washington's 3rd round pick. If that scenario is correct, Denver could conceivably end up with the 4th pick in the draft in exchange for the 30th pick.

The constant FA signings and blowing off the draft will affect the 'skins no doubt.

As I've said for years, you build through the draft -- which is what we've been doing since Parcells arrived and it's now going to pay dividends.

The 'skins may be good, but if they don't change their philosophy, they're likely to fall off the NFL planet.

I think the skins have the starting talent to be good. they have a very good coaching staff but they have no depth and have to get lucky with injuries to survive. I think the key for them is going to be the first 6 games. Eventually they will get better with the saunders offense but it will be towards the second half of the season. so if they survive the early portion they will push for a playoff spot.

I think this is the year their defense will get exposed. they have some good players on defense but they have a lot of holes as well. this will prompt snyder to over spend on defensive names for next year to make yet another run.

I think they will end up somewhere between 7-9 or 9-7. the NFC east is just too tough.

As much as I hate the skins...I think it's very dangerous to write this squad off. They do have talent, albeit some very overrated.....I don't necessarily see them as a superbowl contender, but they did make a run last year and have a veteran team like us.

Still think at the end of the day our defense and offense is better though, but even with Portis back at 75% they will be dangerous, and you know the defense will continue to take huge gambles...they killed us last year when our line wasn't able to protect bledsoe.

Agreed. They have to have a healthy MB and they need Portis to play.

Williams will help there defense be dangerous as usual, but there secondary is very suspect and can be burned, especially if Springs isn't ready early on.

i have looked in many places sean it just says the broncos and skins swap picks if the skins pick is lower.

and if the skins pick higher then the broncos get the skins 4th rounder.

so the proposed 4 for 30 swap is absolutely possible.

wouldnt' the kids on es freak :D

That's not exactly true. Moving from say the 30th to the 4th using the example cited would cost a hell of a lot more them the 3rd. Maybe a 1, 2 and 3 would get the conversation started. Either way, a horrible move by the Skins.

If you heard that number tossed around I submit it is someone's wild speculation on a message board and not anything they can back up.

On the 30th of august I made this brilliant thread, and other than being fuzzy about the complicated Duckett trade specifics at the time, THIS PREDICTION IS COMING TRUE!

Lucky homer, or FOOTBALL GENIUS?? you decide.
