We finish somewhere between 7-9 and 9-7.

I think so too. Probably 3rd place in the division. The only team I feel we are better than right now is the Foreskins.

You don't ship off your best offensive weapon and bring in defensive help like over-the-hill Brookings and keep the dispassionate Clown Wade Phillips and not fully address the safeties and hope to be as good as last year.

Still, with Felix running all over the place, 10-6, and that is because of our schedule.

No. I cannot do it. 9-7.
Wade's magnetic field of mediocrity is too strong to resist. Must say . . . 9-7.

:laugh2: I said 10-6 earlier but 7-9 would not surprise me 1 bit either and that has mostly to do with being in such a competitive division and having not such a competitive coach.

Some of you need to switch to water polo, cause football is far too difficult for you to grasp! Yes lets talk about an imaginary field surrounding a human being as our reason for posting a 7-9 record.

I would suggest to the staff here at the zone that you round up all these posts that speculate, with no evidence mind you, and keep a master list of people who posted them. Then when the team starts winning this season the first time any of them has something positive to say you ban them immediately! Swear to God, some people want to ruin this sites mojo!

I just wonder if you 7-9 jokers have ever really watched a football game or if you spend all your time watching todd mcshay hump mel kiper while crying in a beer and listening to country music backwards hoping your dog comes back to life and your woman comes back to you!

Some interesting posts to be sure.

I am going to hold off making any predictions until after the off-season and pre-season.

Right now I have no idea what this bunch will be like this year but now that I have turned 70 I don't plan to get very excited about it one way or another. I just want to watch good football and I don't much care who plays it. If the Cowboys start playing up to their potential for a change, so much the better.

Ho hum, nothing much going on, think I'll pinch my wife on the butt just to see what her reaction will be.

Nice post full of valid points.
The roster looks very strong.

I'm not so sure we have the best offense in the NFC though...maybe not even in our division...but that is really beside the point.

We should most certainly be far better that 5-11.

I say 10-6 with upside.

You don't see a better offense in the NFC? Really?

If Matt Ryan continues to progress than Atlanta looks to have a solid balanced offense. They have a good mix of young players and the addition of an all pro vet at TE only makes them better from last year.

I know we subtracted a guy from offense, but did we do anything else to make the offense better?

The Saints sure do and this year Colston will be healthy.
That's pretty debatable...even with the whole bad defense thing, I don't think they can touch our run game. And I don't think Brees is any better than Romo. Tony would put up 500 yard games if he threw 60 times also

9-7 until proven otherwise. Biggest improvement getting rid of a lockeroom cancer. Biggest concern I have no faith in Wades ability to lead this team through any kind of adversity. For me the stench of the Baltimore and Philadelphia games lingers.

I believe that a healthy Felix Jones makes this offense better. He showed he is what Reggie Bush was supposed to be. He comliments MB III perfectly.

The question on offense boils down to Roy Williams. Can he make defenses respect our passing game? If we can take advantage of 8 in the box, whether it be Williams, Austin or Witten, then the running game can devastate other teams.

I'm not saying that Ryan isn't any good...

Passing Yards #13
Completions #17
Completion % #17
Rating #11
16 TD's/11 Int's

But in a league dominated by suspect quarterbacking he was middle of the road at best. Not bad for a rookie, but not great either.

I don't see why you have Scandrick starting over Jenkins.

But I do agree that our offense has the ability to be #1 in the NFC. I think it is definitely a top 3.

Maybe because Scandrick is flat out better than Jenkins.

He was a rookie. Those numbers are off the charts for a pure rookie.

I can't agree that his numbers were off the charts. The thing that will concern me in October won't be Matt Ryan, it will be the running back and the offensive line. If you ever watched a Falcon game last year (I saw them all), you would have seen Ryan had very little to do with thier outcomes.

Yeah wasn't Turner top 5 in yardage?
