Full Disclosure: I would prefer that they get a DeMarcus Ware or Aaron Rogers type player that could play ten to fifteen years as a Dallas Cowboy at an elite level. We all would. That is what you would normally expect at pick 4, right? But, the players that will be there all have question marks in some capacity. Tunsil might be such a guy, but there is no way that Dallas picks him.

So, from everything I have read, the main options are...
Ramsey:
A physical freak DB that has all the tools to be elite NFL Free Safety. But, Dallas just drafted a free safety in the first round last year so they are looking at Ramsey as a Corner. He had low interception totals. Could he just be suffering from Deion Sanders syndrome? Teams completely avoided throwing Deion's way for the majority of his time in Dallas. Deion at one point had three straight seasons where he only recorded two interceptions per year. A few games missed for injury, but having watched every single game I can attest that teams seldom tested Deion.
Elliot: A potentially phenominal running back in an era where teams and fans don't necessarily seem to think running backs are worth the investment. Dallas currently has a lead running back with an injury history, a second running back that has declining numbers and a third down back coming off of a major injury. They also completely ignored running backs in the offseason because they felt the O-line could make good running backs great. If they are considering Elliot, it must be because they do in fact see him as a generational talent at his position.
Bosa: Appears to be the fallback option at this point. A very solid Defensive End that would completely wall off teams from being able to run to the strong side on a Dallas defense that struggled against the run. But, he might max out at ten to thirteen sacks in a season and that turns off some people. The talent certainly meets the need here.

What I feel happens:
I don't think Dallas will get their war room dream scenario where Ramsey falls into their laps. San Diego will trade with the Jaguars and the Jags draft Ramsey. It makes a ton of sense for San Diego because they will still get one of their top guys in Tunsil or Buckner.

Dallas will then be faced with drafting Elliot or fielding calls. That call will in fact come from the Baltimore Ravens, who will want to jump in front of the Chargers to ensure they get Tunsil. Dallas will receive pick six and Baltimore's 3rd for their pick 4 and a 6th.

The NFL Draft, picks 1 through 6:
1. Rams (trade with Titans) - Jared Goff
2. Eagles (trade with Browns) - Carson Wentz
3. Jaguars (trade with Chargers) - Jalen Ramsey
4. Ravens (trade with Cowboys) - Laremy Tunsil
5. Chargers (trade with Jaguars) - DeForest Buckner
6. Dallas (trade with Ravens) - Ezekiel Elliot.

Not sure if the first six picks have ever all been traded before, but that is how I see it going down tonight. I hope Elliot becomes every bit the generational talent that Dallas feels he is.

So it's still a Ramsey or Zeke pick. Chargers like Stanley more than Tunsil, so Baltimore may not need to trade, if in fact they want Tunsil.

Trading DOWN is the right move.

This roster is filled with holes due to trading up in the recent past and busted picks.

We are NOT one player away.

I'm hoping Tenn wants to come up and get Tunsil. I'd be happy with a 2nd and 3rd to go to 15, then target Rankins or Lawson.

Finally address the safety position with an actual safety and add DL depth with the extra picks.

I've heard that rumor come up myself, but I don't really buy it. Seems a little odd that it is coming out right before the draft. Plus the local media in San Diego still seems to think Tunsil is the guy if they go Offensive Tackle. It would certainly be a nice rumor to float if they already had a deal in place with the Jaguars and wanted Tunsil to fall to them.

trading down is ideal, but I don't think Dallas will if Ramsey is there and maybe to afraid to if only Zeke is there

I agree.

Look at it this way: if it was a different year, do you really trade #15 overall + a 2nd + a 3rd to reach for a one contract RB or a DB that can't intercept the ball? No freakin' way. And 99% of this message board would be against it.

But of course, you'll have to get that trade offer first.

I'll accept any reasonable trade offer that includes a 1st this year. I don't see anything I can't afford losing at #4 overall.

That scenario makes sense.

Ideally, I'd prefer to trade down a couple of more spots so we could get a 3rd, or even second (if further), but you have to have a legit trade partner.
The additional 4th, by itself, is not much help.
I guess we could offer our 1st and 4th for Baltimore's 1st, 3rd and 5th

In any case that new 4th could be used with our 34th to do a small trade up later, necessary

Taking Zeke plus picks at six is much better than taking him at 4 but the guaranteed money savings is only 4 mil they would still be paying 4.5 mil a yr in guaranteed money. That's 20 times what they are paying McFadden in guarantees and 6 times what they are paying Morris. If they want Zeke at a reasonable cost they should trade back to 9 or 10.

That seems well thought out.

Trade or no, I expect Ramsey to go 3, no matter what

This sounds like a 'Have your cake and eat it too" scenario.

The trades and wants from the other teams works out perfectly and Dallas gets picks plus their guy.

Fan stuff all the way.

Fair enough, but it is not a scenario that includes my personal preferences by any stretch. Zeke is not the pick I wanted (that would have been Goff first, then Bosa second), but I truly see Ramsey gone at 3 and I think Dallas's interest in Zeke is 100% legit. I also truly see them fielding calls for a trade up with Tunsil still there.

Just the way I see it.
