Very early obv, but based on what I’ve seen so far:

1 (Cowboys pick): Keldrick Faulk,DE/DT

From what I’ve read, this kid has potential to be another Chris Jones, Calais Campbell type difference maker. We haven’t had one of those since I’ve been a Cowboys fan (37 years) so why not take a chance?

1 (Packers pick): Anthony Hill, LB

Guy is big, fast, and instinctual. We need all three. Immediate upgrade and could turn our LB core into a strength IF d-Mo comes back fully healthy.

2: Dillon Thieneman, S

Need a safety, Thieneman fits the bill. Smart, rangy, athletic, leader. Only question is will he last till early second?

Thoughts?

Not familiar with these players but I love the idea of going all defense.

I love it, but I dont think we will be bad enough for Faulk. He could be a top 5 pick

There are several DT/DE that can be worthy of a top 15 pick. That should be our own pick

I would go DL again with Packers pick but if there is a difference making MLB i will be ok with that

Did you use PFN simulator because where you pick these players (which I love) is exactly they are scheduled to be at

I have my choices that are different except for Thieman. If this ended up being our haul I'd celebrate. Good job

Im all for this draft. Got an offense that can put up 40 and a defense that allows 41 points. Defense needs to be the focus.

I did not- too early imo to do an actual mock simulator lol but I will if we lose the next couple of games.

I am not done any homework yet on college players, but if it does not mention physicality, as one of their strengths I am not interested.

I haven’t done any draft prep yet, but I want high iq, instinctive off the ball players. I can care less how athletic a prospect is, if he doesn’t possess those two traits. As many know, Swest was my #1 pet cat last year and he is having a great rookie season with the Browns

Speed running in the wrong direction is slow. Instincts and the ability to process can not be evaluated at the combine.

It can be evaluated watching the tape. A player like Sean Lee, wasn't the fastest, most athletic guy, but always was around the football. His processing was so fast, he had a 2 second head start. No more drafting these athletes like a Bruce Carter, Jaylon Smith, Murray who have poor instincts.

Athletes with potential are exactly that and should be day 3 picks, regardless of how fast, how high or how far they can jump. If it does not translate and show up on tape forget about it.

Exactly, they are more trait selections where they are been picked as core special teamers. Taylor Mays is a perfect example of this type of player.

Campbell from Alabama picked by the Eagles scared me to death last yr cause of his slow processing. Either you have it or you don't, it isn't a skill you can develop. He has had an up and down rookie season thus far.

QB's need to start for at least 3 years in college or they will be a project - see Trance.

I want high IQ, instinctive, and athletic enough to warrant a day 1 or 2 pick. Anything less and we have another Jack Sanborn…

CJ Allen LB Georgia Cowboys pick
Malik Muhammad CB Texas Packers pick

Dontay Corleone DT Cincinnati 2nd round

And throughout the draft take at least 3 more defensive players . 6 defensive players should come out of the next draft .

We lack physicality. We lack mental toughness. We lack a physical fear factor. We lack wearing teams down in the 4th quarter. We have no nastiness on this team.
