My rant at the madness that is BP!!

I posted this in a reply a few minutes ago but I'd irritated enough to make it a thread....hey maybe people from the boys read this board and will get my true feelings from it......

personally I am getting more pissed by the day because I don't feel that BP has told JJ what he is doing. This hurts our team because we don't know whether or not to move forward or not. In addition after serving up crap on a plate that BP delivered to us in the Rams game, this is just rubbing our noses in it.

We get it BP......you are the great one....we all are waiting for your word....now commit or get the he&* out of here!! The Cowboys fan base has had plenty of dissapointment and we need closure to this year too. We only get that by having something to look forward to. You have taken that away from us with all of your "I'm not sure what I'll do next year" stuff and for that I am angry at you!! :bang2:

I just think that at some point it messes up all the good things that we had going for us. We have a good young D, if not for our OL we might have been.... but now we are wondering if we might just be starting over yet again. Plus with this looming out there it is really hard to look forward toward next year. We are left to smell the stinch from that last game for this whole time.

And yes it does feel like BP is rubbing our noses in the loss...and that ticks me off!

He seems to have a tendency to do this type of thing, with regards to punishing his team.

I think that is exactly what he was doing against the Commanders Part Deux when he kept calling all of those times out at the end of the game.

I wonder what his excuse what have been if Bledsoe had gotten injured?

This retirement thing is a media generated thing. He has one year left on his contract and has made no statement that he is retiring.

What exact decision are you expecting.

BP hates the media, if he is doing anything on purpose it is towards the media that invented "BP's retirement".

Everybody is so worked up that BP may retire when he has said nothing to that point.

Because even if he does want to jerk the media around, and it's obvious that he does, he needs to realize that the fans are the reason he makes 4.5 large every year. And he needs to realize that those fans want the coach of the Dallas Cowboys to WANT to be the coach of the Dallas Cowboys. Not to have to "take some time to reflect." Reflect on this, Bill, you've changed this team the way YOU want it. I don't believe you're going anywhere, but you really owe it to the fans to show your dedication, by putting a silver bullet in these stupid rumors.

That may be true. I wasn't positive when he left the Giants, but that was totally different. THat was for health reasons. This is just leaving to golf and bet on horses. I really think he is staying.

The sad thing is that Bill's failure to make a decision doesn't have all of us "worked Up."

Is it possible that even Bill's staunchest supporters aren't worked up about it because maybe no one really thinks it's going to be a big deal either way?

I mean if we think Bill is God's gift to the Cowboys and he's going to bring us a championship, shouldn't we be extremely aggitated and worried? Personally, I don't really care that much one way or another because I'm not really convinced it will make much difference. The idea that Parcells will have another good offseason and leave us next year a better team than we were seems balanced in my mind with the excitement of maybe hiring an entirely new staff and HC that will bring great excitement and freshness to an already improved roster.

Those coaches that you are referencing are being interviewed right now and will be gone unless he makes his decision very soon. That is the real issue Wayne. The longer he waits, the more likely it is that we will have a poor season next year if he leaves. Plus I also want the coach of the boys to want to coach this team!

If this guy waits until the 11th hour just to tell Jerry he is walking, many of the head coaching candidates will have already have been taken.

Ya know, this sums up how I am feeling. I am beginning to think Parcells thinks upon himself as a god or something. He aint no different then you or me, excpet his job is higher profile and higher paying. I wish he would just come out and say hes staying or leaving. Whatever your doing, just do it already. I am getting pissed more and more the longer this drags out, and if he pulls a Carlos Beltran and drags this out to the piont we have no viable options at a real head coach I will become irate and you guys will really get tired of my rants. (please dont ban me, I will be legally insane for a short period and not responsible for my actions - ).

Anyways, I tried not to read anything into this and thought it was a product of the media machine, but I am beginning to wonder if there is merit to this story. God, let it end and let us get on with rebuilding. We have scores to settle and trophies to claim here soon. We gotta all be on the same page going in the same direction headed to the same destination or it just wont work.

I could be wrong, but I think he has already decided to return for the last year of his contract, as evidenced by his being at the office getting ready for the off-season. His question may be over whether to sign the extension or just retire at the end of the 2006-7 season.

dmq.....the point is not if he is or is not leaving. The real point is that he is not helping anyone with this game he is playing of "should I stay or should I go now". We should have collectively said "we had a tough season but we will work on the positions that we are weak in (OL, Kicker, and LB) and just wait till we hit the field next year. Instead we are wondering if we will have new OC, DC, and HC for next year. If so, then we are effectively starting over and the past two years were a waste of everyone's time and energy and that will have a lasting effect on the field.

I think he will come back for a single year and then be gone. I don't think this is the way we want to end each year where the players and fans sit with baited breath to see if he will/won't return....but for the record he probably will...me saying probably is the problem....nobody knows for sure...therefore uncertainty!

If someone needs two weeks to EVEN decide if they want to coach the Dallas Cowboys...then screw them.

When has anyone heard Parcells say he was thinking of leaving? As far as I know, it is media speculation and nothing more. Stephen Jones yesterday said its been business as usual with Parcells working at the Ranch since the season is over. Parcells doesn't really like the media, so why would he give them any privy info? The only people that are in the dark right now are the fans and the media. This is between JJ and Parcells. Not us. JJ isn't gonna let every candidate go elsewhere while Parcells considers retirement. JJ is a better businessman than that. IMHO, they are working on an extension. I'm not saying I can't be wrong, but I'm not into this bashing Parcells for not making a decision when he probably has to JJ, but we just don't know it.

being as not one single coach we would be intersted in has took a job i don't see the big hurry. we did'nt want herm anyways and he's the only guy really close to a job. so whats the hurry? it's not like we are missing out on who we want. first we don't know who jerry wants and second i promise you jerry already knows who he wants if bill leaves and already has his feelers out. patiense there is not big hurry. bill is working everyday just as usual and everything is getting done here
