We got spanked theres no doubt about it but there are some things that could be done to avoid it in the future.

Offense:
- When something is working make the other team stop it. Buffalo did this with the run game to us but we should've returned the favor. Pollard was the best thing we had going on offense and he was capped at 11 carries. it's ok to not force the qb to take chances ask Buffalo.
- Understand the game situations and don't wait until halftime to adjust. We went into the half holding on to timeouts. We should have used one to review that fumble. What was the reason for apprehension?

Defense:
- When someone is running all over us theres no need for Micah to continue rushing the passer. Use him at his natural position at LB and let him be a factor in the run game instead of running him into walls needlessly play after play. It might preserve him some. The hybrid safety/linebacker thing works in passing situations, i get it, but what if a team focuses on the ground game? Those hybrids are too LITA. First get into an obvious passing situation and use Micah then. Quit running him into double teaming 300 pounders,.

Special Teams:
- The kicker is balling but Fassel is asleep at the wheel. We've got the most dynamic returner in the game and we don't setup blocks on punt returns. Ever. We don't even touch the gunners, even when we're double teaming them and it forces fair catches and/or mistakes by Turpin trying too hard to make it happen on his own. I wish Parcells could talk with him and explain the importance of flipping the field in defense games. All he needs is a sliver of space and we can be in scoring position the way the kicker is playing.

In the end It's only one game and we'll have a chance to respond. Get it done Cowboys!

thank you....our DC messed us up...we need Parsons with Evans in a 3-4 manning middle of linebackers

does no good using Micah now as pass rusher unless we have big lead.....DQ has a history of not adjusting

when other team starts rolling over him...i.e SB ahead 28-3 late in 3rd and losing game...most of Daks sacks

i believe come from A or B gap not as rusher on side...plus he and evans can stop runs...get the safeties out

of trying to hold down a strong running attack being used as linebacker...non-sensical

Parsons natural position is not LB. It's OLB in a 3-4 scheme

unfortunately none of this can be evaluated as it doesnt matter because we made the playoffs....AS COACHES STRIVE TO DO.

they succeeded.

now that they did their job of getting the team to the next level...we have to wait and see how bad or good their game plan was when it matters.

pretty simple.

the coaches did their job of getting us to the next level. we cant judge them until a playoff game.

everyone should shut up until then

In regard to Micah Parsons, I just discussed this at length in another thread.

Not only should Micah be playing LB against the run, not doing so has him completely worn by the 12th game of the season. You explained it perfectly. Micah is 245 pounds and has to fight multiple 300 pounders, some are 100 pounds heavier than himself. You know that has to take a toll and it does. My statistical comparison shows that his productivity radically decreases at a point in the season when we need him the most.

Well, evaluate is what we do here 365 days a year, 24/7, etc.

At this point most of us are evaluating the Cowboys chance of success in the playoffs. I think it is the constant thought of Jerry Jones. I don't think he's waiting to see what happens before entertaining certain other thoughts.

Dan Quinn should use Sam Williams, DeMarcus Lawrence and Dorance Armstrong more as DEs during run plays while moving Micah more to a LB position to back them up to stop any RBs in the gaps or around the edge. Dan Quinn is using his players wrong.

Stop pretending that it's about size.

Buffalo ran to numbers advantages over and over again.

DA also got whooped by Dawkins a bunch of times, so that's not a change that would do anything.

Special teams never gets enough attention. Thank you for pointing out the fatal flaw in it. Bones is a good coach but his punt return scheme makes NO sense to me at all either. There is no question if the Cowboys put more emphasis into this part of the game it would improve the field position for the offense big time. My expectations are always so high when the other team punts. My family yells TURPIN TIME!!! Any more it has turned into a opportunity to grab the remote and flip to another other game or Redzone.

Lol. I'm not pretending. I'm stating it as a matter of fact. Buffalo dominated us with the run because Dan Quinn lines up smaller guys to go up against much bigger Olinemen. The heavier weight dominates the lighter weight when pushing against each other. Sports Physics 101.

You can present it as fact, but it is wrong.

Buffalo dominated because they did not commit enough players to gaps. Had 0 to do with size. On weak-side counter traps, it was 4 blockers on 3 defenders every time.
