We got spanked theres no doubt about it but there are some things that could be done to avoid it in the future.

Offense:
- When something is working make the other team stop it. Buffalo did this with the run game to us but we should've returned the favor. Pollard was the best thing we had going on offense and he was capped at 11 carries. it's ok to not force the qb to take chances ask Buffalo.
- Understand the game situations and don't wait until halftime to adjust. We went into the half holding on to timeouts. We should have used one to review that fumble. What was the reason for apprehension?

Defense:
- When someone is running all over us theres no need for Micah to continue rushing the passer. Use him at his natural position at LB and let him be a factor in the run game instead of running him into walls needlessly play after play. It might preserve him some. The hybrid safety/linebacker thing works in passing situations, i get it, but what if a team focuses on the ground game? Those hybrids are too LITA. First get into an obvious passing situation and use Micah then. Quit running him into double teaming 300 pounders,.

Special Teams:
- The kicker is balling but Fassel is asleep at the wheel. We've got the most dynamic returner in the game and we don't setup blocks on punt returns. Ever. We don't even touch the gunners, even when we're double teaming them and it forces fair catches and/or mistakes by Turpin trying too hard to make it happen on his own. I wish Parcells could talk with him and explain the importance of flipping the field in defense games. All he needs is a sliver of space and we can be in scoring position the way the kicker is playing.

In the end It's only one game and we'll have a chance to respond. Get it done Cowboys!
When DAL fell behind 14-3, NY running the ball and burning the clock and DAL doing the same amounts to DAL still losing. You can never run away a two TD lead.

Read what you tried to post
I did.

Explain to me how you can get credit for a missed tackle if you're not in position to make it? A missed tackle isn't a bad angle or getting blocked out of the play and doesn't happen when you have, say, weakside contain on a strong-side run. A missed tackle happens when you are at the ball carrier with a chance to make a play.

So again, explain to me how you can get a missed tackle if you aren't in position?

I mean, I know you can't, so just go ahead and post your facepalm and insult because you don't have an actual point.

You: "citing missed tackles proves the point that size isn't an issue, because it means they had players in position to make a play."

Again, are the safeties big enough to tackle James Cook?

If they're in position to make the play, it means that they weren't blocked out of it because of their size.

When you're running well it translates to first downs which translate to scores. It also keeps their offense off the field. You have to chip away at the lead, but not by ignoring whats working. I don't know it just seems to me they panicked and lost patience.

A defender can take a bad angle and only get a hand on a runner. That's a missed tackle. And, the defender was out of position.

It's funny asking Safeties to fight defensive lineman at the point of attack all game long, giving up tons of size. It's beyond unrealistic.

we need a run stop package with Clarke , Evans and Bell on the weak side. five up front…. d law , armstrong , hankins , osa , parsons. just hold your gap.
Any run stop should include our natural d ends. Armstrong and Dlaw with Parsons at LB would be helpful.

The main thing is maintain your damn assignments and quit freelancing, playing hero ball.

Anyone notice this about the 2023 Cowboys?

In almost EVERY game this year the Cowboys either play great all around or bad all around. For example against the Cardinals, 49ers, and Bills it was not just the offense or the defense or special teams. It was all three failing in epic fashion.

The ONLY game this season the Cowboys had one unit play bad and the rest great was the Seattle game. The defense was bad but the offense carried them to the win.

In every other game the Cowboys had a team effort- either all good or all bad.
