My Take on S Gerald Sensabaugh - 2nd-round tender, $1.809

My Take on Sensabaugh being tendered a 2nd Rounder. I'm thinking that Dallas is in a Win Win situation with this one. If he leaves they get a 2nd Rounder that if needed could be packed with their #1 to move up or Earl Thomas, S from Texas. This is if they feel strongly Earl Thomas will go higher than #27 in the 1st Round. My Question to anyone that might know if a 2nd Rounder plus the Cowboys 1st Rounder would be enough to climb towards the top of the 1st Round for S Berry.

I knew better than to open the this thread. Yet I couldn't help myself and I clicked on it.

I really hate the off season.

What will be the bad idea for the thread tomorrow?

Lets give up Felix, Jenkins, Maretellus, Choice, and Scandrick for McFadden while we're at it.

There is nothing but truth to the thread. If the Boyz lose Sensy than most likely in the 1st Round they look Safety. Putting the 2nd Round tender on Sensy gives them some flexibility. Nothing stupid about the thread other than some stupid comments about it !!!

Keep Sensy or take the 2nd !!!! It all depends on who's 2nd Rounder it is. It's not like Sensy was a Life Saaver last year he played good not great !!

First, I don't see Sensy going anywhere for two reasons:

1. I really doubt anyone gives up a 2nd for Sensabaugh. As the draft approches, draft picks become even more dear.

2. JJ has already stated he wants to extend him.

Second, even if Sensy was to be taken by another team for a 2nd, and I'm assuming it's a 2nd towards the end of Round 2 (why would someone give up a high 2nd round pick?), it would probably only take us 3-5 picks higher, IMO.

why on earth would ANYONE give up a 2nd round pick for Sensabaugh. First of all, he was cut last year for NOTHING. Secondly, this draft is deep at Safety. Why do people continue to assume ALL organizations just throw around draft picks. Didn't the Chargers just get a THIRD for Cromartie...so why would ANYONE give up a SECOND for Sensabaugh? And while I am at it....I still cannot figure out how the Jets got Braylon Edwards for like a 4th and Cromartie for like a 3rd...and we gave up a FIRST and a THIRD for Roy Williams. I am a big Jerry Jones fan, but I am still scratching my head on that.

For the same reason that teams are going to take Bowen, Proctor and Hurd.

They desperately want to give Dallas a TON of 2nd rounders.

The truth is, what I said is dead on balls accurate.

Ummm....no it won't be enough. It won't even be close to in the realm of enough to move up from 27th to inside the top 5, where you'll have to be to even think about a shot at Berry.

The only stupid part of the OP was when he wondered, seriously, if our first and a second would be enough to move from the 27th pick all the way into the top 5. That is beyond silly to even entertain that as a serious question when he posted it.

Hey I certainly wouldn't complain. :)

It's your appreciation for Jones that should cause you to scratch, not one of the many foolish moves by Jones.

Can you name a team for me that has no foolish moves?

Thanks in advance.

for every Roy Williams...there is an undrafted Tony Romo....an undrafted Miles Austin....a 7th round Jay Ratliff...a 6th round Folk (who was a 2 time Pro Bowler)...a 4th round Barber (pro bowler)...a 3rd round Witten (HOF bound).....a 4th round Bradie James....a 7th round Patrick Crayton. So his good far outweighs his bad. Just cannot figure out why we gave up so much for Roy...and Braylon Edwards, who was younger and was drafted higher went so cheap....why Cromartie went so cheap. There is no denying Roy Williams is better than he has shown....but is he that much better than Edwards or Cromartie? Jerry wanted Roy since Roy was in college..and I venture to bet Jerry acted on his OWN advice.

You Kidding? NO ONE could have forced Jerry to make that trade but JERRY!
Sometimes he acts like the team is his very own tinker toy. The brightest shiniest marble in his marble bag. That trade day was a "it's my party and I'll do what I want to" day.

Roy is and was a very good player.

You guys expected jerry rice, and act like those draft picks and that money was yours.

Or that you know more than jerry, or that jerry some how owes us the fans to never make a mistake. And when he does make a mistake you guys act like he just punched your momma.

Some of you need to realize you don't like jerry and you never will and stop *****ing about it like you could do better.

He is a hell of an owner and GM. We are lucky to have him.

I'll disagree with a couple of posters and share the opinion that Sensabaugh played GREAT for us.

I stand with this post. If you are stranded in the desert...toilet water looks good. Sensabaugh was good...but NEITHER safety makes enough plays to me.
