I don't like Owens at all as a person but as a ball player, he is a must have. If we have any shot to get one of the top 3 recievers in the league than we better well get it done. He is a playmaker fellas. Do we have anyone on the roster that keeps a defensive cord. up all night figuring out how he is going to stop that player? HELL NO! I will give you a few more tidbits about Owens and the Boys.
If we get Owens, Johnson is expendable. Cut Johnson and use the cap money from him to help pay for a cheaper contract for Owens because it will be incentive laiden.
Aquire one of the best centers in free agentcy you can get your hands on. I'm so tired of seeing out centers getting pushed back into our running back in the backfield. Add this to the fact we will get Flo back. I think another year on Rob P. and some major weight lifting will make him our right tackle of the future.(Remember, he is a late round rookie people). I still believe Rivera is playing hurt a little because i know he is better than what he is playing. If not, plug Peterman in there if he is better than Rivera. Place in big Larry at is spot with a big draft of young hogs for depth and the future and the offense is fixed Boys, simple as that.

Johnson is one of the best possesion WRs in the game.

To just cut a player of that caliber would be plain ignorant.

No one on this board questions his ability.

Many do question his ability to ruin team morale.

The question remains........is that worth it?

I say it all depends on how the contract is written up but I lean towards.......'no thank you'.

Dude-when Flo was in there, our OL was still vulnerable, but it was STILL a heck of alot better than it is now.

And yes, when Flo was IN there-Key, Patrick, and Glenn were tearing it up on the field. Otherwise, we wouldn't be having these stupid TO threads.

Do you have any idea how sans blind-sided tackle, it just changes the O completely? Same happened with Brunell last year-when his blind-sided guy got hurt in pre-season, the Skins Oline just couldn't get much pass protection at all. No wonder why he's surprising everyone this year.

The question is what would the cap hit be to cut Key? TO isn't going to come cheap and if you take a big cap hit to cut Key besides TO being a cancer he's most definately not worth it.

If you have a T.O. they must game plan for him. You do not gameplay for Johnson. Nobody is scared of Johnson. Creighton is going to better than Johnson next year and is faster and much younger. That would make Johnson the fourth reciever and he dont play special team. Hense, we cut Johnson and his salary to go towards the offensive line of Owens. Plus, if you blitz Bledsoe next year with a better offensive line that will leave either Owens or Glen one on one and I love the Boys chances with that matchup. Owens will open up the offense and Johnson does not. I have one word for you Johnson applogists, SEPERATION............................................

If you OL is trash-it doesn't matter.

Remember the game Philly played in Denver-Owens was wide open quite a bit. However-Donovan had no time to even plant his feet, move around, and see TO as the rush and blitzes were constantly in his face. Same happened in the Atlanta game. And their the slowness of their 2 tackles(Thomas and Runyan) didn't help out either.

Besides-when Flo was in there, our passing game was outstanding. Let's not get too greedy here.

Again along with getting Owens, we will fix the offensive line like Bill fixed the defensive line this year. We aquire the best center in draft, which leads good depth with Al. We will get Flo back on the left side along with Adams. I really do think Rob is going to be a keeper at the right tackle. Now if Peterman is as good as i think he could be and he proves it, we could place Peterman at guard for Allen and if he dont take a paycut, cut him and save on the cap to sign us the best free safety availabe. That was just a thought, but i really think Peterman is going to a be a bull dozer.

I've been tired of that for over a decade, thought it would end with Johnson and Gurode....guess I need to stop thinking.

T.O. is hands down one of the top 3 WR's in the League. He's also #1 poster-child for all cancer research. He took a perenial Division Winner to the SB, even though they lost, and then turned it into chunky soup the very next season. No thanks. I don't want him here. I don't want to see this up and coming team, destroyed, and looking like the Eagles next year.

I am not a Brad Johnson fan and I am not even saying I want him.

Here are some differences.

Brad Johnson - Superbowl & can complete deep passes for 80 yard TD reception.

Things we and Drew are currently lacking

I agree with you about Owens. I would love to have Owens here in Dallas. But I would not wanna let Keyshawn go. The man gives himself up to make the catch anytime it is thrown his way.

As much as I would like to have Owens I will say this. If the Seahawks let Hutchinson go to FA and Bentley is there in FA then I would rather go after them then Owens. We will not have the $$$$ for all 3.

If we get Hutch and Bently the OL will be greatly improved. That means our running game should be very good. And what is good about that is it means Bledsoe will throw the ball alot less. Which means we will win more.

If somehow we can get Bently Hutch and Owens then Jerry Jones will be about the closest thing to God there is.

But if we can get Bently and Hutch. Our running game will be good and they will also be able to give Bledsoe the 3 minutes he needs every snap to throw the ball. Our WRs are ok to maybe good. Good nuff with a solid running game and better line that we can get by with them.

First Key is not goign to be cut so get that out of your head.

Here is the real question about TO. Did he kill the team Morale, or did he kill fan morale, or is it the fans impression that he killed the team morale? Honestly, I don't think he hurt the team morale, from everything out there, his team mates liked him and wanted him back.
