First of all I think we can put to rest any concerns with Dak. He definitely has recovered and doesn’t appear to have suffered from missing time in preseason and training camp. We aren’t as competitive without him. He definitely has increased his value to our team and elevated his pecking order in the league. We have no chance without him.
I was disappointed we gave up so early on our running game and never really attempted to establish . I’m not sure why we invested so much on a premier RB if we aren’t going to use him more. Hopefully that was more about our opponent. But a pass happy offense is a concern for a sustainable offense and winning team. And our redzone offense without that running threat I think is part of the problem.
While I was impressed we stayed with the Champs it did take 5 turnovers by them to keep the game close. And our defense showed some improvement although our secondary is still suspect and not enough pressure on the QB. But their turnovers kept us in the game.
Our kicker concerns could be a killer. That was one of the most glaring woes. OMG.
But this team looks good enough to beat the teams we should. We don’t face another playoff team from last year until week 11.
