We lost to the Saints because Zeke couldn't get anything through the middle since the OGs and C couldn't move the DTs and LBs who clogged the lanes, and Dak had no time for deep throws because the DEs and DTs were able to penetrate. Shorter routes/quick throws in the 3rd quarter worked well; why not try in 1st half. There were too many penalties, also.

We simply lost this time because Payton got Garrett back from last year's win by out coaching him this year.
It's not complicated.

The Cowboys would have won if the PLAYERS executed three more plays mistake free. Those being critical errors.
Yep you just can't make ANY mistakes in a game like this but i saw so many people saying this was not a must win, season was early, blah blah blah. Now the NFCE is a close race again. Whoever it was who made Moore change his style deserves to be fired yesterday. and trust me SOMEONE did because I doubt Moore has a split personality.

It was an ugly game. Maybe ugly isn't the right word. It was a showcase for both defenses.

I thought we were going to win it up until the last drive. Even then I still saw a glimmer of hope that we might get it into field goal range.

And turnovers

We found a brick wall for Zeke to run into, so we kept running into it.....right up the middle. That sounds like Garrett to me. If you find something that doesn't work, keep doing it! :banghead:

All in all I'd say it was a very close defensive game. The Boys had their chances, they failed. I do believe that we will all see the OC Moore's offense blooming again at home against Arron Rodgers and the Packers.

with them rushing so hard and playing man on the WRs, I expected to see some screen passes to slow the rush. we didn't see any. and minimally try a couple of 3 TE sets, just to throw them off. mistakes all around.

We lost because of the turnovers. When Witten fumbled we were on the verge of points and in return we gifted them points. That was the difference in the game by itself.

The Zeke fumble (which really wasn’t a fumble at all) sealed the deal for the most part. If not for those two turnovers we win the game and the stats look so much better for everyone and we are talking about a quality win.

The crowd noise made it difficult to use all the motion, etc. Losing Gallup hurt A LOT.

The defense allowed NO to run the ball and kill the clock. It has been problematic all year long and continues to be.

This team CAN win a SB as constructed but if you trade for a Snacks Harrison in the middle of this line we probably become the clear front runner. Woods is the ONLY legit 1Tech on this roster and he isn’t top shelf.

You don't win a lot of games with three TOs. That's just a simple truth folks.
The two fumbles were huge
Dak missing the TD, though under pressure was huge
We couldn’t get the offense going like the first 3 weeks because we couldn’t extend drives
Lots of reasons but turnovers was by far the biggest
There was a post earlier in the week saying we needed 30 to win
I posted in that we could win if we didn’t turn the ball over
Even when a team doesn’t score on your turn over that’s a possession you rarely get back

That was worth about 6 cents. Where is the other 4?
