Looks like what most thought would happen did, and it wasnt pretty. Jerrys decision to sit players all preseason had the exact effect most thought it would. Blaming this on JG is pointless because he doesnt have final say. It is what it is the guy ownes the team, and im not gonna lose any sleep over it. Its frustrating but what are you gonna do.
Dak made some really stupid plays yesterday. On these bad throws he making it looks like he is indecisive on wether to run or stick with the play and throwing it. And thats where it looks like these bad throws come in. If its open run for it Dak. 4-5 yrds and a 2nd and 5 or 6 is better than a 2nd and 10 or even 3rd and 17. Seems like Dallas is more focused on keeping the pressure from coming at the edge as a priority, but IMO its the middle where it gives QBs the most trouble. And this is where losing Frederick hurts more. Looney and Connor didnt have a bad game, but we saw just how important Frederick is because he wouldnt adjusted and made the help work. IM more concerned about Tyrons penalties and bad plays than Looney and Connor. Tyron has lost some movement and its clear. He was beat quite a few times and i think his penalties come because he has to cheat for his loss of movement. Back issues especially for a OL isnt going to get better. Its just the start of the decline.
There seemed nothing different in what this team tries to do with the offense. Other than new faces lined up runing the same routes. Again i say those asking for JGs head simmer down take a breath and stop posting for a bit because he's not gonna be fired. And furthermore the guy hasnt been running the offense for some time now and while i think Dallas needs a new coach, id be happy with Linehan gone.Ho does this guy not know that defenses arent going to respect the run until the team can move with the pass. Make plays with the pass. Why is he calling the same plays that were called with Dez? The same routes, and in plays at the end of the game 3 WRs running the same routes, just at different yards.
Elliot never got a chance to get off because of the ineptitude of the offensive gameplan.
I think the biggest part of Elliot not getting it going was the blocking but its not the OL its not having that 6th player blocking like a OL and that was Witten. People forget just how good he was that it literally like Dallas had 6OL blocking.
The defense was very good. And even with the offensive struggles kept this team in it til the very end.
Jaylon Smith makes the Vander Esch pick look really bad. Smith was all over the place. The team jumped the gun and made a pick out of fear. And was the wrong pick. Jaylon was the best LBer for the team yesterday, yes even better than Lee.
The DL is awsome, plain and simple. They have guys who come from all angles and in starters and rotational players. And thats without David Irving. Demarcus Lawrence 7 tackles 1 sack a fumble recovery and 3 TFL. Wow
The CBs play alot better up in WRs faces and late in the game for the life of me idk why they went back to a cover 2. Again its frustrating.
This type of Loss is more frustrating then a blow out loss. Because they just arent prepared because of Jerry. Its unacceptable and its frustrating but like i always say. It is what it is. This is how it is in Dallas with Jerry. If you cant handle it there are 31 other teams to root for.
Next sunday ill be rooting for them to beat the Giants and the next week and so forth. The offense will get there, you can see that.
I want to see some feed back and some accountability from Tyron and La'el before theres blame on Connor and Looney. Because there were two bad games played along that OL and it was the tackles not the rookie guard and the replacement center. Tyron and La'el killed potential scoring drives with penalties.
