My thoughts 11-2

For all you doom and glooms, it was the 2nd loss of the yr. This team is still 2 games ahead of the next playoff team. IM convinced some of you would rather see this team lose then win.

IM going to start with Dak. He had a bad game, but to his defense, NY hit him 8 times in 37 pass attempts. Thats not even counting the QB pressures. NY had 9 pass defenced, meaning NY secondary blanketed these WRs. But that still doesnt excuses his lazy passes. He needs to make better reads and he needs to make better decisions. He has 11 wins because he made the right decisions but tonight it was bad. The opposing DEF had alot to do with that though. To ignore just how good NY def played tonight is pure stupidity.

Dez Bryant just seems to get shut down by the better CBs in the league. We've seen that with Revis, Peterson, Sherman, Norman and now Jenkins. Bryant was the reason for Daks first INT, but it was a slip not much u can do about that. If he doesnt slip thats a first down to Dez. Im not going to blame Dez for that deep INT, yes it was a lazy route but there was a S deep. Thats all on Dak. Nobody to blame on Dez fumble except him not securing the ball. Bryant needs to soul search instead of being Mr twitter fingers this week. He has a good game here and there but he's paid at an elite level he should be playing elite every week.

Bryce Butler needs to make that TD catch. You do that and its a win for Dallas.

Tyron and Free dominated for 3 quarters and then just fell off in the fourth. IDK what happened but both got beaten repeatedly in the fourth and forcing Dak into some bad throw placements.

Witten was a blocker for most of this game because NY brought them outside backers and S up. Coaches fault for not adjusting with motioning him to the other side to switch up the rush or out in the slot tking that backer or S with him.

This DL was outstanding tonight, but it was agaianst a very bad NY OL. All the same they forced alot of stuff tonight we dont get to see so it was nice to see.

Sean Lee is a monster. His ability to fill a gap is brutal on RBs.

Carr blow that inside route to Beckham but that was basically all he gave up but it was huge. Without that pass Dallas wins.

Church was all over the field but it just seems that hand didnt give him much help.

Its a loss but its 1 loss. Get off the soap opera gloom and doom mentality. Theres a game next week. Go Cowboys
How many hits were because he held the ball too long or take off running when lanes were open? I need to watch the game again but I really just don't want to go through that again lol

yeah tampa is going to be tough too thats why in a way I would like romo to play this next game just to see how he does in a similar type
game.
I don't see that happening and I am a Romo guy. I would rather see Dak excell and shake this two game skid than have any type of controversy this late in the season. Next week is the game of the season imo and another test for Dak as this game will have his first real mental pressure buildup as the game gets closer.

We hold a team to 10 points we should win 100% of the time.

Dallas needs answers for NYGs exact gameplan and not just this get better/execute better crap.

We need to figure out exactly how to get some guys open against those tight man to man coverages.
Hmmmmmm. How many times do you see us use the rub play to get guys open? Teams around the league use it 30 times a game. Us. Not once

Dak and the offense has been beating this style of defense all yr. Tonight they came up on the short end. Its not like they havent seen the blitz and not beaten it. Washington, Philly, Minnesota, GB, CIN, PITT al played the same way.
Please don't compare our defense to the Giants. That's an insult to the giants defense.

The difference in last night's game was mainly NY's pass rush as compared to ours. Purely and simply, they applied much better pressure to Dak than we did to Eli. The cold weather affected both offenses about as harshly as they were bound to. Both offenses were hampered by stiff hands and an inability to catch hard, slick balls with any real consistency. OBJ proved far more productive than Dez as well.

The home field advantage was exactly that with a raucous crowd that knew exactly when to get loud and when to pipe down. All in all, the Giants were simply the better team by a slim margin last night and the score totally reflected as much. The next time we meet them, assuming we do in the playoffs, it will take place at AT&T Stadium. Let's hope that and warmer conditions help our cause.
I agree the finesse players seemed affected by the cold, Dak could not figure out a pass with accuracy all night, even his dump off plays were out of sync. Still up until the last minute they were in the game and relevant.

well I dont think it will happen either, but I would rather put romo in now with tampa than wait for detroit or eagles, which wont be as tough.
thing is if dallas gets beat next week, the pressure will be on to put romo in.
And then he gets 2 easier games, unlike what we will see in playoffs.

it is all difficult, after this loss it and the way they looked from 2nd quarter on, it creates some issues.

Agree let's hope Dak and the offense light up the Bucs and we can talk about another victory Monday next week instead of reading the alternative.

yeah that would be good, I think this loss might be good for them, they have had some lucky wins, and I think they
thought they could just show up and play and somehow win.
Now they know they need to work harder if they want to win.

no one can win 100% of the time. it just doesn't happen as sooner or later the breaks go the other way.

this last game doesn't define an 11-2 team at all. 11-2 defines this team.

Yup. If Dallas learned anything about winning (sweeping the Giants) during the regular season is: you can whoop them all you want but it's the playoff that count now.

I don't think Detroit is an easy game.

this was a bad loss the way things are starting to fall with the coaching and lack of adjustments I am not sure that this team will win another game.

Wow ....... please get lost ...... thisis about the most pathetic tantrum of a reaction I have seen on this board ..... I hope you are not a grown man who acts like that.

I absolutely agree. Some of the fans are being ridiculous on here.

We got fans posting about agreeing with Steven A Smith. Then go to the forums of his 5 or 6 favorite teams. He and McNabb are making out with each other this morning because the Cowboys will always let their fans down. The Cowboys are 11-2. It was a bad game, Can we at least see how they respond Sunday against Tampa Bay? Or don't. Be a fair-weathered fan for another team or two

Dak went basic simple through most of the night. Holding the ball very long, and not throwing well and a few passes. His and the team's execution has diminished to very poor production on 3rd down. Why? Their first round yardage was either negative or very small. Then blitzing wasn't made to pay.

The past couple of games, he simply has played like a 'rook' again.

Eleven wins doesn't mean the Cowboys finally match up to a black 'n blue league in December. Only scoring seven points and on a special play, is poor play by this offense...period.

Agree mostly
Dez has never been the top 5 WR CZ homers like to pretend he is
Many of us were against paying him and he had more than proven us right
Now he will have one good game and were supposed to ignore the score of games he disappears in
