Gonna start this with coaching, because its frustrating that it takes ranting from media and fans for this coaching staff to switch it up and form a productive gameplan. But then its frustrating because it takes the players the same situation. From Dak finding the open guy to Zeke being patient, to Beasley cutting off routes and adjusting. Why does it take almost hitting rock bottom for the light to come on? This is the biggest reason i think Dallas needs new coaches. I just dont know if itll happen in 2019.
IDK if it was the coaching restricting Dak from running the ball or if it was him trying too hard to make plays with his arm. But yesterday one of the best defenses in the NFL couldnt contain him. Thats how you use him, and thats how you hope he plays. He took off when nothing was there but he does it smart and never takes big hits. HIs long ball needs work IMO on placement. But i think this more of the team never really goes deep so its gonna be hit or miss until they can form a chemistry and them deep routes. We have seen him hit Austin on the money in one game deep, and over throw him too. Think he added a new wrinkle for teams though, in running the ball. Dont think teams on their schedule didnt notice it.
This OL is coming together. Connor Williams is looking better each game he plays. He's not getting pushed back in the backfield anymore. He's getting to the 2nd level and getting out on them pull blocks. You can tell just how athletic he is when hes on the move. Looney game is peaked...You cant complain because he's not a problem. But if Frederick doesnt make it back Dallas should draft a guy. Tyron and Martin just look dominating again. The weak link IMO is La'el. He is a better player at G but what are you gonna do but keep him there and hope the light turns on.
Jourdan Lewis reminded us how physical he is, and what makes it look even better is he's a small CB. I have no idea why he isnt playing more. But with Awuzie out i dont see how this kids reps cant go up. When Dallas gives up a big play 80% of the time its on Anthony Brown. I know he has size the Richards likes but Lewis is the better player. If Lewis keeps playing like he is, i dont see how Richards could keep him off the field.
LBers, I dont see how you can put Sean Lee back at starting WILL with how Jaylon and Vander Esch are playing. IF anything keep him snaps down, if i were involved in the process i would see if there was any interest in a trade for him.Smith is the new Leader of this defense. And you can see it on the field. The guy is calling the plays and calling the adjustments for all 3 levels of the defense. What's scary is you see him getting better each game aswell. He has 50 tackles 3 sacks FF and 9 tackles for loss countless pressures. Vander Esch gives you tackles and not much else. He can cover some but will get beat as we saw but will get the PD too as we saw aswell. Once the game slows down for him and he sees what the offense is doing quicker i think we will see some turnovers.
Think Dallas needs to get a trade for a WR or even 2. This team can make some noise in the playoffs with some better guys catching the ball. Dallas is lucky that JAX had too much pride in its own def that they didnt shadow Beasley with Ramsey. Caught a break there because if they would've it wouldve been lights out for Beasley big day.
Go and get Amari Cooper. Raiders wont get a 1st for him. OAK and DAL have a great relationship so i think it wouldnt be as hard as some think to get a trade there if they really want to move him. Another guy i would hope they would go after is Desean Jackson.
Think this team has alot of life and fight in them. Enjoying the season so far.
