I'm utterly disgusted with this team. From Jerry all the way to the last guy on the roster.

What in the hell was this team thinking in terms of the wr situation. How do you not even keep Tolbert active. If Brown and Houston were what you were going to go with why wouldn't you dip into freeagency for a guy like Will Fuller, Cole Beasley, or even go snag Malik Turner.

How the front office allows Moore to continue to call plays or still has a job is infuriating to me. Every team knows he doesn't change anything. Every week is the same game plan up by 30 or down by 10 nothing is going to change with this clown. Elliott was looking really good 8 for 46 in the first half, ans ended the game 10 for 52. Put Dallas' qbs in bd situations with 2 man routes, with its qbs in shotgun. That leaves the defense able to defend the pass easy while still getting pressure up the gut.

Tyler Smith is going to be one of the best LTs in the nfl by the end of the yr. He dominated Barrett all game. And no Peter's should not be lt but rather inside at lg this week. When tyron is back he should be on the bench watching Tyler.

Dak prescott made some horrible throws. To his defense the guy had NOBODY to throw to. When the defense saw Moore was abandoning the run, they came up the gut and got in daks face which ultimately ended up getting him injured.

Lamb might be a #1 but he needs to do alot better.

Dan Quinn needs to be this teams HC. The way he has coached up this defense the rest of the team needs to be handled the same way. Just seems like there's accountability on defense that isn't there on offense.

The run defense was fine until it got wore out from continuous 3 and outs. It was a 9pt game until late in the 3rd.

Now for the elephant in the room with Broadus saying from people on the team Mccarthy won't take over play calling because he doesn't know the offense. If this is true why is he even the HC.

I'm utterly sick with what's going on with this team right now.

The game was still "in reach" score wise for most of the game too, so any excuse the run game had to be shelved cause they were down big and needed "chunk" pass plays falls flat.

I think the thing that annoyed me the most was the amount of penalties. Steele accounted for 4 alone. For what was McCarthy's #1 mission this offseason he failed that in week 1 and there's very little confidence from me that they will get it fixed next week. All 10 on the offense, the side supposedly MM is known for.

The run defense on the right side of the line was exposed all night. Not sure who was the RDE and RDT but man that was rough.

Hate to say it but nothing will change until Jerry dies and that could be a year it could be 10 it could be 20...we're losing a generation of fans bc of this and all the 40 somethings that grew up with the glory teams are fed up.

The only reason most people buy season tickets now is foe the oft chance we luck into a good team or to sell and make money.

Our Defense can’t stop the run. I think the bucs injuries were the middle of there line and out DTs did nothing. Parsons looked good.

Our WR got no separation. Dak is now out for 4-6 weeks. We have Rush and no WR. Ssooooo use the run game and TE and short WR passes. See if Beez is still in shape. Get someone.

Maybe the bucs are going to be a 14 win team this season.

Excellent post. I agree across the board. Until all of the Jones family (except maybe Charlotte) are out of the front office nothing will change. And on a side note indulge a not real smart fan and tell me what your profile picture is. I've been trying to figure it out for years. Lol

Well to be fair, McCarthy was asked to be hands off on the offense and not involve himself in it. I mean you cannot make such a demand of a guy and then turn around and blame him for the state of things there. Also the defense had 0 penalties so if he's going to get blamed for the offenses penalties does he get credit for the defense having none?

I’m befuddled by the OC play calling as well. Don’t know why he stopped running the ball. Zeke was running well and I think we should have kept running to set-up the pass. And what’s up with the gadget plays? This isn’t college, although sometimes I swear I’m watching a college football team! And of course the penalties…geez…thought that was a point of emphasis during off-season.
Well…good luck Cooper Rush! You have a patchwork OL, receivers who can’t get separation and an OC who won’t call plays to put you in a position to succeed. Curious to see how many carries Zeke gets…I’m sure he will have a good 1-2 runs that will be called back due to holding penalties as well.

Agreed. Had Simi not dropped the 4th down pass and we score and convert the 2 pointer it’s 19-11 with over 4 minutes to go

yeah and this is a big part of the problem though, Jerry's meddling. thinking he knows everything and doesn't know crap.

let your head coach and GM decide how the team is run... your stuff is not working... is what I would say to Jerry.

Uh yeah, the McCarthy not knowing the offense was bewildering at best. *** has he been doing during the off-season for the last 3 years… scratching his ***? You would think the 1st order would have been getting with Moore to hash out what they were going to do offensively!

I get that Moore calls the plays but McCarthy supposedly made it his goal to reduce penalties. What I was getting at regarding the offense is that MM is more of a offensive based head coach so it was a bit concerning all 10 penalties came on that side. Coincidence? Maybe.

Look around the league, what other team has this kind of dysfunction? I can't name a single one. Used to be the Raiders had this but that ended with the death of Al Davis.

Sure, and I will gladly ding him for it but since he has no control over the offense it's kind of hard to do anything but delegate this to his co-ordinators right? I mean the defense seems to have gotten the message about penalties.

Something doesnt quite sit right with me after this. Without wanting to sound too much like a conspiracy nut...something more than a bad game seems to be the only reasonable answer.

First...I totally get the "the clock is ticking and Jerry isnt trying to waste any years" argument against a possible planned throwaway year by the Cowboys...but either the Cowboys are planning on not being good this year or they planned on losing to Tampa Bay is all I can come up with.

Kellen Moore - I dont think Kellen is as dumb as people want to suggest. He called some "progressive" or "risky" plays in the playoffs which seems to suggest he is a risk taker. I dont like double reverses in todays NFL with DLineman running 4.7s 40 yard dashes...the plays take too long to develop and they usually at some point take the ball 7-10 yards behind the line of scrimmage...I just hate them personally. I hated them Sunday. They plays I call "progressive" in the playoffs were actually unique and if Dallas executed them correctly(they didnt) they would have not only been somewhat original in the NFL but also moving the game forward. They werent double reverses they were the throws to the WR and the WR then throwing it across the field to another WR but in a quick fashion. Anyway...you cant excuse the going away from the running game which was working Sunday and sticking with a passing attack that wasnt. Just seems odd at the NFL level. Maybe Kellen made terrible play calls in the Playoffs too...I truly dont know.

My main point/conspiracy theory is...I think Dallas has possibly planned on a non-SB year and are also going to see what Dak is truly capable of. Can he elevate his team or was he not worth his contract? Further more...I think Dak and his agent rubbed the Jones' the wrong way by playing hard-ball too long and forcing the Jones' hand on a large contract. Now they are saying prove it or youre not getting another contract. (Yes it seems odd about not paying a QB when they pay everyone else and QB is most important position...but they obviously had reservations about paying him which is why the contract situation took so long)

I think Kellen has been told the situation and is calling the game based on a "make Dak prove it" order fromt he Jones during games that are "scheduled losses". Or maybe we just suck lol.

Tyler Smith - the videos of him stopping Veta Vea(sp) are just glorious. Vea is a monster. He also does good against their other top defensive players. Really hoping for this kid.

Dak - looked awful. Recievers are trash? Bad reads? Some of his throws seemed like he never worked with these guys in training camp. I dont know...just seems odd.

Is this a set up for McCarthy to get canned? I dont know...maybe. I think it has to do with Dak and him proving his worth to the Jones if there is any conspiracy going on. I am of the opinion that Jones' didnt want to pay him but were cornered and Dak had all the leverage...now Jones' are saying prove it asap so we can move on quicker if need be.

the faster you guys realize that everything media wise with dallas is leaked from the FO the faster you will figure things out...

- there is a reason we are now hearing mccarthy doesn't know the terminology
- there is a reason they are saying now CeeDee is not a #1 for a smear campaign and they can lowball his next CA
- there is a reason that Jerry wants you to think that Dak will come back early
- there is a reason that Sean Payton is brought up with this team more often than not
