The ultimate test will come in the next couple weeks . Without some success in playoffs it becomes more of the same . We shall see. Im cautiously optimistic.

I like some of the things MM has done . This year much improved handling of the team over his first two years . But in the end if he is looking for accolades the success must come in January.

Except for that year he won “Coach of the Year!”
Despite whatever criticism is justified of Garrett’s coaching weaknesses and flaws he’s been our most successful Puppet this era. Hopefully MM is able to surpass.

MM has done a great job.

He has to overcome things that many HCs do not.

I’ll leave it to the imagination as to what that may be.
It's the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders, right? That's a major distraction most coaches don't have.

Dak is really good, Zeke busts his ***, Pollard is really good, our OL is going to recoup, and our defense is is over rated. We are lucky to have Big Mike......he's kept the team together this year. Go Cowboys!

I hope so.

At least fans are not claiming that Zeke is really good anymore. Or that Pollard is nothing more than a change of pace scat back.

Looks like the lessons have been learned. Albeit 2 or 3 years too late.

Those who don’t follow the Cowboys closely act like this is the same defense we had earlier in the season when Cooper Rush was starting. It’s not! Our defense went from being the strength of the team to our biggest concern entering the playoffs. We were winning games with our defense the first half of the season, now it appears it’s going to cost us in the playoffs. We had the best pass rush I had ever seen with a Cowboys team and it’s disappeared. Our pass defense has been getting shredded the past few games and we’ve had issues stopping the run all season. Parsons looks like he’s just about run out of gas. Injuries are the primary reason it’s fallen apart. Hopefully if we get LVE and Hankins back for the playoffs that will improve it.

They need to rest all these guys like Parsons that are gassed. But the FO isnt smart enough for that. And guys like Parsons are allowed to do what they want and go after personal stats goals when they should be resting. It was no different last year with Zeke and Dak.

Sad that personal goals trump whats best for the team and the playoffs.

LOL.........we finally agree on something.

But dont get mad at me. Its Pollard that is making you Zeke apologists look bad.

And now Davis is getting in on the act shaming Zeke.

Im not the little man that still cant admit he was wrong about Pollard and Zeke.

Im just the guy that keeps telling you he told you so.

Hate it when thread titles get changed. It’s so unnecessary, micromanaging and overbearing.

The DT’s and LB’s are just not very good. That’s why the D is overrated. To win they are going to have to keep getting TO’s.
Getting Hankins back at DT would be a big help. Now if dumb Gallimore can play little bit up to potential and early fading Osa can get a second wind , it would help. The. More Watkins and Gholston plays DT is not good.

The biggest obstacle that Mike has overcome is Jerry spending the offseason basicaly discussing his replacement with DQ or Payton. I expected a 2010 style wade-like collapse of this team. But MM did not miss a beat and this team is actually better than the 12-5 team from last year.

I do think we are lucky to have Mike. Look at what happened this year. We lost Dak for a few weeks. We've had injuries as the season has gone on. Yet, the team keeps plugging away and winning. Garrett could never do what Mike has accomplished.
