Just trying to pass time before tonight's game so I thought to share my experience with anyone who still hasn't went to a game at ATT Stadium and wants to save money by getting SRO tickets. Mods, I put this here in Fanzone but if it belongs somewhere else please move it. Thanks.
The last game I went to was in 2006, the last game of the season against the Lions. I had been wanting to go to see a game at ATT but tickets are too pricey, IMO. Our extra money goes to helping doggies and kitties. But I was lucky enough to go because my awesome brother in-laws bought me a ticket to the Giants game.
I don't think SRO is for older folks. I think I was the oldest one that I seen. My brother in-laws are 10 years younger that I am and even they was tired from standing for 5-6 hours. Since I had my Achilles repaired 3 weeks before so I got to sit on my scooter during the game. Unless you get there super early you won't get a good view of the field. We arrived inside the stadium around 1:30pm and all the spots by the railings was already taken. The bottom level there was already several hundred people so we went to the very top. This first pic shows the area we stayed at. This was at about 1:45. They went outside to smoke a cig before the game and when they came back there was 3 rows of people in front of me. You couldn't see the field or the screen at all. So we ended up watching the game on the TV by one of the concession stands. And you have to stay in that spot you're at. If you leave that's it. Someone else can come up and take it. There was a squabble about the with the people in front who got there super early. They left to use the bathroom before the game started and when they came back their spots were taken by the people standing behind them. They was arguing about until an usher told them that it's their fault they left.
It was a fun experience being surrounded by 90,000 Cowboys fans but since we traveled from San Antonio to see the game, I don't think we would get SRO tickets again. Maybe if you lived close by it would be worth it but driving all that way, plus gas expenses, don't know if it was. We actually thought about going outside to watch the game on the big screen outside but it was too hot and humid. If we lived in Dallas we would probably take lawn chairs and watch the games outside because there's live music, food, beer, games, etc. plus being surrounded by mostly Cowboy fans is always cool. That was my favorite part, being surrounded by fellow Cowboy fans, that and of course we won the game. I was looking for a troll wearing a Wentz jersey with a dunce hat on because I wanted to throw my nasty Philly steak sandwich on him but I didn't see him.
Being with family that you love is priceless and we won big. We had a great time even though we didn't see not ONE play on the field. Lol I hope this helps anyone that's curious about getting SRO tickets for future games.
GO COWBOYS!!
