Yes their blitz is what worries me the most, for a number of reasons.

They disguise their blitz's well, I think they are going to try and replicate what Hasslet did.

Let's hope they have prepared well to beat their rush.

Pick up the blitz, burn them with Dez for a few long TD's, they will back off.
Have some run plays like a little delay, or some screen passes ready, beat the blitz, they will back off.

OL will need to continue like the played on that last series in NY.
I can see Clutts getting more playing time for max pass protection at first, until Linehan gets a feel for what Philly is doing defensively. It may be a low scoring game at first. Though I think Kelly will try to score quicker than usual, try to take the run game away as we would need to play catch up or keep up.

Have a quick out option every pass play Or use play action mostly, even if it doesn't result in completion , it will make them to dial it back if they see cant get home. Protect Romo from himself !!!!

Burn them with a couple of screens and they will slow the blitz and the pass rush down

He has a 125 rating against the blitz.

A run heavy game mixed in with screens will be a good counter to their blitz.

The big concern is Philly's fast pace offense and being prepared for it. If the defense isn't aligned and set it can result in some big plays. The Cowboys have to stop McCoy and force Sanchez into putting the ball up a number of times it will lead to turnovers. He has 6 int's and 2 lost fumbles in only 4 games. It's critical the Cowboys don't get off to a sluggish start like we saw on Sunday Night and fall behind by 2 scores. If Philly jumps on the Cowboys early Sanchez will be able to manage the game which he can be very effective doing if given a lead and a running game. He's made some excellent throws feeding off the running game. The defense has to keep an eye on Sproles out in space who can turn a short screen into a big play. The Cowboys need to jump on Philly early and put the game on Sanchez.

They can't allow Philly to jump out early and dictate the action. If the Cowboys jump on them they can't relax they have to pile up the points because Philly can score quick and often with their style of offense. This is one of those games the Cowboys have to be focused and ready to play or they could find themselves down by a substantial margin and it could lead to a very long day. They can't come out like they did against the Giants and expect to rally back from 11 points down vs a Philly team that has a high powered offense. Getting down by 2 or more scores will force the Cowboys away from the run and put the game on Romo so a good start is a must. If Philly jumps out quick they'll try and pile it on so the Cowboys can't fool around they have to come out ready to put some points on the board.

I'm sick and tired of Philly !
I want our team to smash them and steal their will. Hate their trash talk, but we have laid down the last few years when it has mattered most ( in to win game 16's) ring a bell ?
We must punish them. Our defense still scares me, but I want our offensive line to punch Bennie Logan in the mouth ! Think this will turn into a chippy, brawly game - and I want our team to stand up and be the ones dealing out the punishment !!!

Thanks for clarifying.
Other than whatever hex Haslet seems to have on him and our OCs, he usually likes making defenses pay for blitzing.
But yeah, we sure don't need him taking hits.

if we get down 21-10 like on sunday then it will be downhill from there. need to run the football and get off the field on third down and hold them field goals early. now we can get ahead early maybe we can wear down the eagles and keep there offense off the field which I hope really happens.

I wish we could do to the Eagles what the Packers did to them.
Unfortunately, I don't see it. McCoy and Sproles are a deadly combo. We have a poor pass rush, but it's a must to disrupt their quick time offense.
We will have to run the ball down their throats. We need 35+ minutes in time of possession with Demarco having a big game.
