I'm usually reading other people's thoughts on the game so I thought I would give my thoughts for once.
1. One word for this loss: FRUSTRATING, The defense played horrid in the 1st half but it seemed like they played a little better in the second half. Penalties just completely killed us. It seems to be the storyline of the season so far. We either get moving on offense or get a stop on defense but then we commit a stupid penalty. I'm at a loss on what needs to be done because these penalties seem to be so correctable.
2. The offense moved the ball the whole game on the Titans, but like I said on #1, a penalty would kill us. I think that celebration penalty was so bogus. The refs should have used some common sense on that, it was not taunting or anything else, I just can't believe they called it because Colombo went to the ground, it was not on purpose. Then giving up the long return on the kickoff didn't help either.
3. Felix needs to start and get the majority of the carries, I think he played well, he is a big play waiting to happen. Roy Williams played well for the second game in a row.
4. I don't know what Mike Jenkins' problem was today, but those two PI calls were so obvious, Mike, you don't grab the receiver's jersey the whole way down the field. It may have just been a bad day.
That's all I have for now. I just hope Minny loses to the Jets tomorrow night. The way I look at it right now is this, If we can go into November 4-3, we have a decent chance to do something. I also think if we are at 4-4 or 5-3 at the halfway point we will be OK. Call me a homer but that is just the way I see it.
