Since 1984 Denver has a 193-72 record at home, that altitude is a big home field advantage. Since 2000 they are 19-1 in weeks 1 and 2 at home.

The first drive Nolan Carroll was awful. He's being forced to play the left side covering the teams best guy which isnt what he was brought to Dallas to do. He was brought to play the right side. And it showed being burned on 2 big completions. Then Awuzie giving up the TD, he's already 7 yrds off the ball and allows Sanders to get behind him for the TD.

Chaz Green really struggled in this game with the stunts. He looked lost on alot of snaps. Def off balance on alot of plays allowing pressure up the middle.

Maliek Collins got owned by Leary all game. Especially in the run game.

I hear alot of talk and been reading alot of articles and psts talking bout the team played alot of off man, but early they played up on man too, but with Carroll and Awuzie going down thats when they played back alot more because basically they were down to 2 CBs. Woods had to come in and play the slot.

Demarcus Lawrence is back. Think Moore is going to give this team a boost from the right side.

This team never gave Elliot a chance to get started. IDC what anybody says about him, you have to attempt to run the ball. With 5 mins Dallas got the ball back down 14-7 and dallas throws the ball 4 times with a penalty wiping out a first down. And Butler dropping a pass that probably gets Dallas a first down if he plays the sticks and catches it. This game was poorly coached.

Cowboy WRs just got outplayed. Den has a very good secondary playing in their altitude was a huge advantage IMO.

Ugly game for Dallas with ugly game planning and bad adjustments. Dallas secondary just ran out of gas late and iced the game.

Nice post LM. I was wondering how C Green looked. He is a better tackle than guard.

I'm sure I'm in the minority but I think we should have Green and Collins reversed.

Collins was decent against Miller but has the power and skillset needed to be an all pro guard. Green lacks the power to be inside and needs to be at Tackle.

It's disgusting that Brown isnt the left cornerback. Why put the guy who won't even be in Dallas next year on the left? Rod is a *******

Agreed. He's not a perfect CB, he makes his share of mistakes. And apparently, if you believe the media reports, he's a guy that doesn't wow in practice. But when the games start, he seems to be the one CB who actually makes some plays out there.

In my world, when people get healthy, Scandrick and Brown would be outside, Awuzie or Lewis in the slot with the other the dime back along with Woods. Carroll would be fetching Gatorade for the rest of the defense.

Totally agree with this. When 11 of the first 14 plays are passes, that's not getting stuffed, that's not trying. I get that you have to audible out sometimes, but not always. And certainly not always at the start given you are playing the best coverage secondary in the league.

Collins & our TE sucked bigly blocking.... Chaz was not the problem
Collins gave up the play on 6 consecutive plays during their start 3rd qtr drive..... Then heath & Jones goes AWOL

Not to say Chaz was perfect in any form...... He whiffed on more than one occasion. His bad plays weren't negative in the regard of an adverse consequence outcome

I been saying it and it was cemented this week, Brown is a walking pass interference call.

Losing Leary was a killer. If people remember the run game wasn't that great last year until Collins got hurt. Once Leary came in it blossomed. I know you can't keep them all, but that dude is mean.

My hope is the young secondary comes around as we progress, but to get rid of all them but Jones and Oscan is frightening! They weren't difference makers but they were solid and sound football players.

I assume the FO is thinking long term here and not SB year after year. That can only be the way to explain any of this, which sucks for fans.

Moore is definitely going to give this defense a shot in the arm.

The altitude definitely has an effect on visiting teams.

I also think the footing was causing us to slip on several occasions...We should have used Cole and T-Will way more in this game.

I think our coaching staff was trying to get too cute, going pass pass pass because Denver will be thinking run run run

Garrett is a buffoon
