I'll start this by saying the def was especially bad last night but i will point out that your def will be run down by the 2nd half if you offense only runs 18 plays and has the ball for only 7 mins in the first half. Add in injuries. A disaster wating to happen if your offense is as bad as this one is.

Tough break for Lee. But it seems like the guy got hurt after the play was done trying to turn around while getting up. Like he just over exerted himself doing that.

Dallas was not going to win lastnight with a secondary and DL they have right now because of injuries unless this offense kept Brees off the field. Period

This whole coaching staff needs to be fired. If theres one coach that i wouldnt mind staying and being HC is Marinelli. Even with the scrubs they have on the DL those guys give it all and every play it seemed these guys were down the field making tackles.

Lastnight we saw just how simplistic this offense is, Dez was taken completely out of the game not because of the double team they had on him, but the simple elementary routes this offesnes runs. Dallas' routes ran Dez right into the double coverage. No double moves no slants. Nothing.

Romo has lost all mobility and accuracy. Yes there was pressure but the QB has to help out his OL especially with the mobility tht Romo has shown in the past. Maybe he just doesnt have it anymore.

Carter was trash last night in the 4th quarter just seems to have given up on this team. But i dont blame anybody on the def. With this offense they should be scoring 30+ a game.

This team and fans are seeing just how important Miles Austin really is.

Dallas def held up for 1 1/2 quarters, if the offense couldve provided anything this game mightve been a game. IDK if they wouldve won after Lees injury but it wouldnt have been this ugly.

Offense basically sealed it for the team when they gave the ball back to Brees before the half,

The season is done.

The rest of your post is fine but this comment is simply egregious. Errant in observation and specious in conclusion.

Then you just dont know. Austin wouldve provided that security if the saints wouldve been that obvious with their double team. Why were they that obvious? Because they dont respect harris or beasly as wrs. Plain and simple. They single tw all night and he didnt do anything. But then too Romo was inaccurate all night even when there was no pressure

I wonder if Kiffen ever thought of doubling Megatron like the Saints did to Dez.........and moving Brandon Carr to the other WR and locking him down............that win and this loss wouldn't be so painful.

......rue the day we let sean Payton get away during the Parcells yrs

They did double him. But theres a difference betweeen roman harper double teaming dez from jeff heath double cj. Stafford talked about heath while he was mic'd up and how he was always late

Carter was trash before the 4th quarter, as is BW Webb.

Carter went on a roll last year when Lee was injured. I liked the pick when they drafted him and I liked the direction that he was going. This 4-3 defense hasn't done anything to improve his play, it has actually hurt his level of play. There is a problem with him. I don't know if it is his lack of effort or if the scheme is the problem. He has really regressed this year I am starting to doubt his future in Dallas.

haha.. Please explain exactly what Austin has done in the last two seasons to even warrant the opposing defenses.. It was a joke of an effort from the whole team. They came in looking flat, uninspired , going through the motions. Austin wasn't going to change any of that. When he did play, I think in a game this season, he did close to nothing. I like Williams upside way more than anything else on the offense right now.

just don't think the Cowboys have the players to do that, pick your posion its a lose lose situation. No talent and in most cases practice squad players going up against the Saints starting offense..... its like a preseason game.

I think its just the scheme theres a difference between being asked cover the middle rather then shifting outside to cover a rb going down the sidelines. Thats when carter struggles. Other then that hes been pretty solid.

All you have do is look at dez stats this yr with austin out. Its not what austin does its that teams respect him because of what he has done.

Really? So, with Austin in there, Bryant isn't fumbling, dropping passes ?

All I have to do is look at this offensive coordinator to realize why Bryant is not doing what he has done in the past.

With the bye week coming up it is going to be up to the offense to change things. People are bashing Romo and I'll agree that he didn't play well.

But this offense lacks any creativity. If we can't adjust to a double team on Dez, what does that say? Or is the real problem is that Dez doesn't have the mental capability to learn a different position other than the X.

I just don't understand this offense. If we are running a WCO now, why aren't we attacking the middle of the field? Where are the crossing routes, slants?

It just seems that we only attack the sidelines and those aren't high percentage passes.

I wish we could put Romo in an offensive scheme like Brees. No, I don't think he would play like Brees but I do know that he would be more successful.

I think that this is it for this team for a long time. I hate to say it but I don't think we are going to recover from this loss and it is going to be a long several years for our Cowboys.

Our offense is average at best and our defense is WAY below average. Couple that with terrible coaching and we are lucky to be 5-5. The Giants are now ONE game back in the loss column - that is truly sad and pathetic.

.....thinking how Rob Ryan and the Saints doubled Dez like a punt coverage team gunner sometimes---in the Red Zone. Garretts scheme didn't have a answer--it took a sandlot play by Romo to get him the 44 yd reception.
