My thoughts

Wow. You're entitled to that. I'm just very confused why you hold Dez in such low regard. Like you complain bout his lack of route running but his stats are far more impressive than guys like ODB and Calvin. Calvin gets shut down by good defenses too.

Why am i holding him in low reguard? Because i think he isnt worth 15 mil a yr?

Crawford is decent. BUt clearly not the player Melton is. After one game? Dez has dropped alot of balls this yr, has ran lazy routes on a few occasions that have caused INTs and doesnt seem to know how to cut off his route when
Romo is in trouble. He can make spectacular plays, but has been taken out of games this yr by single coverage. Crawford has a good motor and is strong as an ox. But he is never going to get you sacks. You dont think Crawford would be better starting along side Melton then Hayden?

I agree that Crawford doesn't have the extra gear to get to the QB like Melton but he is quick and strong. Have him gain some weight next year and I think he can be a Ratliff type of player.

The team isn't forcing the ball to Dez, and that's a positive thing. When we need those touchdowns in the redzone, he's there. Fans must have forgot how bad we were in the redzone prior to Dez really showing up. The move to the run game with Murray and the abundance of options to throw to has Dez's numbers down, but huge numbers by individual players don't necessarily win you the game. We're doing better by spreading the offense around, and Dez has definitely been doing his job in it... or would we rather have a WR that is complaining that he isn't getting thrown to enough and destroying the chemistry in the locker room?

Tonight, it looked to me like Dez was facing a whole lot of bracket coverage. And it looks like that to me on most game days this season. But, hey - big surpise... he's Dez freakin' Bryant!

I agree. I do get frustrated when I see guys like Calvin Johnson put up 300 yard games while Dez puts up a quiet but solid 80 yards. But then I remember the mentality of your typical WR. They're the most spoiled position in any professional sport. With all the weapons we have, not to mention an elite run blocking O-line, I'm happy with a WR who puts the team first, who blocks in the open field, and who doesn't complain when other guys are getting 30+ touches a game. Imagine a young Randy Moss on our team. Do you see him making blocks for Murray and not complaining when he only gets three targets in a low scoring win?

I laugh at the loser mentality fans are still showing this team. I you cant bring yourself to believe in this team by now this season then you never will. IM not talking bout years past and all the bull alot of you bring up and love to bring up. Im talking about this specific team. All yr this team has fought back from early misakes and have come back and gone on to be victorious. ALL YEAR. Some of you arent fans, maybe you are all i know is im enjoying every cowboys game im watching right now. Watching this team grow together is just something that some of us saw starting in 1991. They were young and they got better. Got beat in the playoffs but you knew something was there.

This OL is by far the best in the NFL. Really think Tyron/Leary/Fred/Martin should all be starting in the probowl. The OL gave Romo nearly 8 seconds to throw the ball on 2 different plays on that winning drive. Fredrick running all the way down the field ahead of Dunbar on that screen was amazing in itself. Wasnt this guy supposed toi have one of the sowest 40 times ever at the combine? Martin is just dominating everybody, He is probably playing like the best OL in the NFL right now. Leary and Tyron form the best left side in football. Its just funny that after the miami game in PRESEASON there were couch GMs and kitchen HCs who were saying this OL was overrated and was going to crumble.

NO secret that i have never been a Romo fan but the guy is worth that 25mil next yr if he's playing like he does now. Guy is clutch and isnt trying to be the hero anymore. He's trusting his teammates. And that was his biggest problem before.

I dont know wat to make of Dez anymore. Giants didnt do anything special against him. They loaded up the box all night so he was singled th majority of the game. He's not worth 15mil a yr if you ask me. If thats what he's asking i would hope Dallas would try and trade him for picks. He makes some of the best plays in football at times, but disappears far too much. Im sure there are some doubles on him. But nobody is going to tell me teams are doing anything over the top because its the run tht they fear first. Love Dez but i just dont think he worth what he thinks he is. I hope he's reasonable and stys a Cowboy tho.

IM wondering if Melton really is back from that ACL completely just yet. Nobody can convince me tat Crawford is a better DT then Melton. The burst off the snap and the pentration Crawford has is a step behind Melton. Melton with his low signing bonus will be restructured to float most of that 9mil into a signing bonus. Would not be suprised one bit if Melton has a base salary near the vet minimum. Melton has 5 sacks in limited time thats crazy to think about. Crawford has zero in nearly or probably double the snaps Melton has.

Crawford has 20 tackles
Melton has 11 tackles 5 sacks and 2 fumble recoveries.

Thats called a big production gap. Crawford is a beast against the run. But gives you close to nothing in a passrush. Dallas issues are passrush right?

Those two should be starting together. With McClain and Hayden coming in the 2nd rotation.

Seems like Lawrence is invisible in this defense. MIncey since Lawence's return has played better. Gotten more pressure and as seen more playing time.

I think Next yrs LBers will be:
SAM : HItchens
MIKE: McClain
WILL: Lee

Carter just seems like he knows his time in Dallas is done. Going thru the motions doing his job and going to the sindelines and seems lifeless. Thats usually what happens when you cant stay on the field. I would say the same can be said for Lee but He is on another planet from Carter. Lee WHEN healthy is the best LBer in the NFL. I believe tho that him playing the WILL will get him out of them situations where he's been injured.

DAllas really needs to kill this Wilcox experiment already. The guy is bad. IM sorry i know there are stil some fans still holding onto his jock like a trophy but he's bad. at this point i would be much more impressed if Dallas just switched it up and moved Church over to SS and slid Moore over to the FS. Moore did line up at FS when he was with NE by the way. Was in packages but still has showed he can play the spot. They wont do it, so i hope they just draft a FS or sign one in FA. Please?

Was very IMpressed with Marinelli tonight. Giants looked like they were going to go on a rout tonight and then Came the double team most of us were screaming for the in the 2nd half and Odell was taken out the game. Marinelli started calling them inside stunts and the sacks started to come easy.

Harris is a very good ST player. returning and covering kicks.

Nobody can convince me tht the NFL and its refs didnt try to steal this game for the giants. Those calls were blatant tonight. But at the end even the NFL nor the refs could lie to the public when you have HD cameras zooming in on plays. Even on the fumble that wasnt according to the refs you could clearly see him still not down when the ball was out. Commentators were even calling it a joke.

What is this illogic again? You cheapen yourself posting trash like this after a win. Going after fans because they don't think like you is petty, short-sighted and rather infantile. It's only a game buddy.

Precisely. He's the only WR in the NFL with 3 straight 10+ TD seasons in the last 3 years and you think he's overrated.

I don't think he's overrated. The Cowboys have made him offers. Obviously they have a number below his too

LM, not sure there's a ton I can agree with you on here. Romo's the man, that's for sure...

Dez had two touches tonight. I prefer Crawford to Melton, obviously not for the sacks. Lawrence hasn't had a huge impact yet this season, but he doesn't look hopeless to me. He's flashed ability and strength. Completely disagree with you on Wilcox. He's really come on the last 3-4 games. He's active at the line of scrimmage and he can hit. He's decent in coverage and when he's not it's usually because he's diagnosed something slowly. I have a bigger issue with Sterling Moore's play if the ball's not directly in front of him than I do with anything Wilcox is doing.

Tonight, I think the Giants came out hot, got red hot when Beckham made that insane catch, and then cooled off and turned back into the 2014 Giants and eventually lost the game. I don't think this was a real failure on the part of our defense other than a failure to get better pressure those first three drives on a very suspect and dinged up OL.

Either way, we flushed the Giants' season tonight, and swept them. That feels good.

The ones I speak of know who they are and most here know who they are too. We see them every week spew the same garbage. Then disappear after the team wins. But there's an ignore feature. Just saying

this is the same guy giving up in the 3rd quarter in chat. i called him out a few times. hes all over the place.

I think what's turned me off but dez is him saying he wasn't gonna talk but his deal once the season. But now everytime a mic is in his face he's talking boot it.

Give me full time refs and hold them accountable. Tonight was unacceptable and Jerry should rip Goodell a new one. We see pathetic refs every week in the NFL yet nothing ever seems to be done about it.

Well you used sack and tackle totals to define DT play. That is your problem. I like Melton but to dismiss Crawfords contributions and not talk about pressures, QB hits and TFL is a pretty disingenuous statistical analysis.

And I have no idea why you are down on Wilcox when Church missed more tackles and has the coaches relcutant to play him deep. Church was Johnny on the spot with that INT but if that pass is in stride and not high and behind then Church isn't catching him and I don't know that anyone is.

I thought they were bad but I forgave them a bit for the flopping call. That was gold.

Locker room synergy is definitely a huge thing. If we had one of those diva wide receivers, it'd end up with Romo throwing a lot more interceptions because we'd have to force the ball to that receiver, meaning throwing it into double coverage and other risky situations. There would also be in-fighting between that receiver and Murray because Murray is essentially being featured on the offense.

Having a WR with elite talent that celebrates when other guys on the offense scores is a big deal. I'd like to see Dez with huge numbers as well, because 'it's fun' to talk about, but realistically, I prefer what we're getting now because that's what is resulting in wins. We're grinding teams out with a tough running game first and foremost, and we have a huge passing threat we can go to then they start attempting to stop the run. The end zone TDs have come so naturally, it's like we almost start to take it for granted.

I will say this regarding Dez. In this scheme, we run Dez way to vertical IMO. Dez is great at YAC, yet we struggle to call quick slants, crosses and drags for him. On the TD where Romo looked the defense off, they finally called one and Dez took it to the house.

I agree let's not give Dez a contract and rely on the almighty Terrance Williams to catch a pass.

*end sarcasm here
