IN the NFCN, NFCS Dallas' season would be over. but Dallas plays in the NFCE. And this division is up for grabs. The eagles arent the 2017 eagles and the Commanders just got embarrassed. 1 game out with 8 left excuse me if i dont see the glass as half empty. I believe in this team until theyre out.

Im going to start by refreshing people memories on 2016. It was a yr full of ugly games, that came down to a couple of plays that decided the game. The difference now is them couple plays are going the other way. I think alot of that has to do with health of the team and the missing players from that team. Missing Dez, Frederick, Witten, Leary will do that to a team. But ill go even further and point to the outro of TW. People forget that TW had some of the greatest clutch plays to save games Dallas has had.

Dak good or bad is going to be the QB this team is going with. Jerry basically sealed it today on the fan. But was there really any doubt? Jerry and Stephen have basically hinted at this for over a yr. Like it or not you gotta learn to live with it.

He's got to get his head back and take what the defense is giving him the way he did in 2016. He's trying to force things but he;s not good enough to do that. He's regressed but who wouldnt having the rookie yr he did. Witten criticizing the game plan on national TV was telling. His frustration showed thru his words. Dallas needs new direction. Think we are seeing the final 8 games of JG in Dallas.

Elliot not getting any touches in the 4th quarter is inexcusable. Should never happen. Thats alone should have gotten JG fired. NYG fired their coach and GM for minimizing their face of the franchise. Dallas should've done the same. I really have no words for this, i really dont.

Think Dallas has a bright future with Cooper and Gallup at WR. Cooper showed what a guy that can create his own seperation can do for this offense. Dak i think tried to force feed him. He doesnt have to do that with Cooper because he doesnt have a ego. He does his work and goes to the next play.

What a time to have more injuries on the OL. Wish we would see Collins at LG and Fleming at RT but that doesnt look like it will happen. Why i have no idea. They need to figure it out though.

Sean Lee needs to hang it up. All the talent to be a HOFer. Just too bad his body couldnt hold up. Them hammies did him in. Should be one of the next young coaches for Dallas IMO.

Dak will not be the QB long term. Jerry may have issues but stupidity is not one of them. Jerry will extend Dak with a contract that will not hurt the Cowboys financially, see the unemployed one KAP. Jerry has too many football people as contacts that I cannot believe would say good things about Dak behind closed doors. You think Belicheck would give a positive review or Jimmy or Payton? The Cowboys will have a new QB, it just will probably take to the 2020 draft to land one.

I think when it comes to the on-field portion of football, Jerry has proven over time to be quite stupid.

Dak as the QB of the next few years means the Cowboys will likely still be non-factors over that period.
:hammer: If Dak is the QB here for the next few years, it'll just show that even if Garrett was replaced, the guy that replaced him is just another puppet.

Good read...and it's not over until the 'fat lady' sings. I'm asking for a return to a form of positive consistency.

She's already hoarse from screaming "its over".

:lmao:
Jerry is not football stupid

Good write up LM.

Add The Bease in there.

I don't know why they didn't use Beas in the last game.

I'll go one step farther. If I were the Cowboys I would pass probably the first 10 passes and then about 7 of the next 10 plays. I would run Zeke inside every down because that's what teams will be expecting. By the time teams figure it out we will have 17 to 21 points on the board.

The next game I probably wouldn't EVER run on first down unless it was a goal to go situation.

I'm reminded of the year the Cowboys beat the Giants in both games and the Giants didn't look very good in the 1st half of the season yet they ended up in the Super Bowl.

If by some miracle we won the NFCE, does anyone really think this team would make a deep playoff run? Or is the end goal just trying to reach the playoffs now? How sad.

Not trying to be negative but what has this team shown that it's a playoff team and can take it all the way?

2016 team was so different. Dak and Zeke had that "new rookie" smell. They were looking to make their mark in the league and had no fear. They had not tasted failure yet. They also had an offensive line that was operating at peak efficiency, just mauling people. Dez and Witten were there as leaders as well as targets. Add to that Romo and Sanchez there as QB coaches, in Dak's ear after every series. Those things all built up confidence in Dak and Zeke, and they went out and made things happen, despite the coaching. All of that confidence and swagger on offense is long gone, and nothing this coaching staff can do will bring it back.
